My dear brother Fernando is such a Grand Master of soaps and aftershaves - wow, his Frosted Bay Rum in my honest and completely unbiased opinion is the most GORGEOUS bay rum scent I’ve ever experienced. The soap’s tallow based, it gives tons and tons of thick, rich, creamy lather that’s so cushiony as well as slick, it’s powerfully mentholated, and it’s so skin friendly. The Prep is another South African diamond - its scent seems to pair well with anything bay rum scented, not to mention how cooling, moisturizing, and soothing it is. Last but not least a couple of good splashes of the Frosted Bay Rum aftershave had me smelling great and did it ever freeze my face to smithereens. Another dynamite three pass BBS shave that I enjoyed so much!

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #437 Silvertip Badger Brush. I did a one pass shave with touch ups using the Ever-Ready 1924 razor and the Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lilac Vegetal After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Maybe they just remember that I purchased a soap once, but it was a real long time ago.

Razor : Yaqi "Top aggressive slant"- Mfg 2019>, upper mid to aggressive range or lots of blade feel. I always like to use this razor to test my hand technique, I like to use a steep angle(riding the bar) with a short handle seems to work the best with this slant.
I also try not to plunk it down at the start of a stroke(it will bite if careless), the razor is not perfect but it's a excellent razor once it is mastered. Fresh blade with a shim underneath and it will sing & deliver some stellar excellent shaving. Had a close shave this morning with no issues.
Blade : Gillette Perma-sharp (3) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap :TOBS Sandalwood cream, rich herbal sandalwood scented soap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Coat tails" 24 mm synthetic, Excellent lather generator, pillow cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. For a Synthetic it feels close to a 2band badger IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Proraso red sandalwood with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 1 blemish weeper= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi TGA slant razor with a Gillette Perma-sharp blade.

I realized I hadn’t reached for this nimble Schick in quite some time. I prefer the heft of the modern Supply Injector, but the shave was fun, smooth and efficient.
