Haven't smoked it yet, have you? Or is it a decadent purchase?

I had an absolutely awesome Rocky Patel Edge Lite. Incredible cigar. Great draw. Wonderful flavor. Very tasty. Of course I also enjoyed a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and 2 fingers of Jack Daniels.

Those are some of my favorite things in the world... but cigarettes instead of the cigar. Jack straight up and and IPA or a Stout.... or a mead... or a barleywine... yummy.
I have a lot of whiskey/bourbon/scotch's and I always come back to Johnny D..
Mama reminded me of this....
picked up a case last weekend ::

I so wish to smoke a pipe regularly again. Sigh, trying to set a good example for my daughter can be a real chore sometimes. How long to retirement?

I enjoyed St. Patty's with a Gispert robusto and a Tupper's Hop Pocket Ale. This was a very nice cigar and the ale was fantastic. A very hoppy ale. Loaded with flavor and probably better suited for a fuller cigar.

For me? It's Chinese, home cooked, by me of course. Chicken in Black Bean Sauce, Shanghai Bok Choi with dried shrimp, and Pomfret, steamed with ginger, garlic, and scallions. A big bowl of Thai Jasmine rice, the best in the world, and a big pot of Dragon Well tea.
I've been cooking Asian for at least thirty years, and some of my Chinese friends say I cook better than they do. Imagine that?

Had a BBQ. Dry Rub/hickory smoked ribs for 3 1/2 hours. Fresh burgers made from 20% ground chuck, Johnsonville Brats, Hebrew National Dogs. Homemade potato & egg, potato, bacon & blue cheese, macaroni, cole slaw and broccoli salads. Samuel Smith Nut Brown Ale for me and soda/iced tea for everyone else.
