Hello, this is a question continuing from my first post in brushes, my question here is I have been using a merkur classic double edge now is it worth while to go with an adjustable progress or does it shave about the same, or go with a slant bar will this shve differently than the classic? Thanks for your help! T

I have not used a Merkur, but I can say that a lot of people like the slant, and a lot of people like the progress.

Adjustables will always shave differently. I had a Gillette Adj. It allows for a customized shave. I assume that to be true with the Merkur.

All of this is of course personal preference. No one says you need to have just one razor. Buy both and sell the one you don't like. Or just don't use the one your not happy with all that often.

The Slant bar is quite fierce. Its popular but needs respect.
I imagine the Merkur classic to be very tame in comparison. I would like to try the Merkur classic and its long handled version.
