Feather Modification

I have a Feather travel razor. I like the way it shaves, but the handle's too short. I wonder if I could use a longer handle from another 3 piece razor, say, a tech? And where would I get such a handle, in the event it fits?

I also saw that someone got a custom handle made for a tech- anyone remember who did the work?

You could probably find a tech for 10$ or so on ebay plus shipping and than find out if it fits. You might as well spend the few extra dollars and pick up a nice vintage razor from somebody here on TSD or try one of the parker razors in the TSD store.

I have heard that feather copied the original gilette so well, that all the threads will match up.

I've already got a nice vintage- I really like how the Feather travel shaves and I would use it daily if the handle was longer. I'll look into buying a tech as you suggest.
