Well do you?
When you are done with one side of your face do you spin the razor around to do the other? Seems simple, but I just figured that out. :ashamed001
I'm an unbashed newb and like I have said before, 4 a.m. does not a clear thought make.

Since my post pretty much started this, I guess I will say yes. I do spin. :rofl

Yes it did and thanks for the idea. Feel free to take the credit.

:rofl No credit involved when it is knowledge based. Unless spinning a razor causes you to win the lottery. Then I want 30%. ;)

Some blades do have numbers. Maybe that is what they are for.:D
I do a stroke, turn the razor, do a stroke, rinse the razor, then repeat.

I try not to rotate the blade during the stroke
I am confused, are we talking about your razor or the blade?

I meant both. It was a dumb joke :)

What was the post by Sejanus about?
I've recently started "spinning" (perhaps flipping or rotating are better words?) DE. I had always tried to use only one side of the blade and then after a few shaves when it was getting dull I would switch to the other side. One day it occurred to me to just switch each stroke to get even ware. I felt pretty stupid for not having thought of it. I will often do a stroke or two with one side, rotate ,1-2 strokes, wash. Sometimes I do 1-2 strokes, wash, rotate, 1-2 strokes, wash, rotate. Sometimes i find it awkward to rotate the razor if the blade of my hand is slippery with lather.

Oh I had just mentioned in another thread that I spin my razor to promote even blade wear. That was it. It is the numbered blade thread "Am I cheap...".

I use the following method:
Shave, Flip, Shave, Rinse, repeat...
This is the most efficient way I found as you only rinse the razor every other turn.

Pretty much exactly what I do right here.

I turn the razor after each stroke. That way I keep the blade equally used on both sides and dont wind up wasting half a blade. It would suck to have one dull side and one sharp side, and than figuring out which is which.

I flip the razor during the shave.
Unless one side is too rough. If so, I ignore that side.

I agree that it's the most efficient by far...I just sometimes end up rinsing between rotation if I get too much lather on my blade.

Its the DE difference. You can't do that with a SE, I tried and ended up with a streaky beard. :D

I just randomly use one side or the other for each stroke, guessing that by the end of the shave it should even out by law of averages.
I've wondered what the numbers on some blades are about, though.

I don't spin, I flip. And I do so when I go to the other side of my face.
