The coconut was alright, but I wanted the scent of coconut, too. So, I took some MB's Toasted Coconut, melted it, and added the Trumpers too it. :o


That's a shame. Unless it's billed as unscented, a $25 tub of cream ought to smell like something! I've only used it once and while it did it's job, it certainly wasn't one of those lovely smelling English creams we're all accustomed to! I TOLD you it had no scent though, didn't I?

GFT Coconut SC was one of two of the first creams I used when wetshaving - so its been a little while, but I do remember it having a coconut smell (tube version),.......it wasn't, however, as potent as the other GFT creams. I think the faint smell is one reason it is marketed toward "sensitive" skin. :cool:

The JF Fraser certainly is Mr Slick Rick ,I went really fast with the Feather combo and it protected me all the way only a slight nick when doing ATG on the upper lip but cold water to the rescue.
This will def. be a fav. cream in my rotation its almost as good as Tabac shave stick very BBS results.
The M7 is so strong it acts as an EDT the same time lasts you certainly 8 hours.

I had forgotten why I traded away my tub of Taylor's Lavender cream... until this morning. The HBS Lavender soap burned the entire time, and the SCS Lavender milk burned like mad the instant I put it on... ended up having to rinse it off and followed up with the Anherb gel. I think I must have a skin reaction/allergy to Lavender EO. Anyone ever heard of that? It's a shame... I think I'll end up trading/selling my Lavender stash. :mad:

The weird thing is... the Thayer's Lavender and MamaBear's Summer A/S (with Lavender and Rose hydrosols) don't affect me that way... maybe a certain strength or concentration of Lavender EO does it?

Definitely possible.. I didn't even think of that.

I had the same problem with Taylor's Lavender Cream. The Vulfix Lavender, which I now use....gives no such problem.

Don't know if I want to try to risk it with another brand or not... I'm going to give it a couple more tries and we'll see how it goes. I may find a solution, or I may end up trading/selling my Lavender stash! :eek:

Jason, DR Harris lavender cream is poison for my skin---I never experienced such a rash and irritation in all the years that I'm shaving. Isn't that odd? AOS lavender cream, on the other hand, works ok for me.

I've used the B&B Standard Ebony for a week straight, and a B&B Finest Ebony for a week straight. Today was my first day back to my SR 3124... and THIS is the definition of dense knot and luxurious performance. Don't get me wrong... both my B&B brushes are winners, keepers, and will be part of my standard rotation. But like some of the other feedback (albeit a minority) on the B&B brushes, they're quite a bit less dense, and floppier than I thought they would/should be. I guess I built them up too much in my mind in anticipation??

Raf, unless I'm mistaken, Nivea exports the same shaving cream you have to most countries in Europe. I had a tube which I received from a gentleman in Poland, and the cream has an excellent lather, and the skincare is fantastic. The spoiler was the scent. I can't deal with the Nivea scent. Everything else about it is perfect.
