Just curious what Anti-Virus software everyone likes these days...
We have used McAfee in the past and I did like it :). I tried Norton a long time ago and hated it and have never went back to it...:(
Our McAffe recently expired so I put AVG on the PC's which seems to be fine....
What are you using?
Thanks!

Used Trend Micro until it expired about a month ago; it was good. Tried CA, which Roadrunner cable offers for free; hated it. Bogged everything way down! (at least my systems) I'm using Norton Corporate right now and don't seem to have any issues with it. I guess we'll see :)

For free software avg is stellar. I personally run NOD on the machines at work and home (300+).
I like my anti virus to run quietly in the background. I don't even want to know if it found something, unless it can't handle removing it on it's own (rare for NOD).
AVG is some great stuff too, don't let the price fool you, it does more than good enough for the home user.
If you're paying, use NOD. www.eset.com (http://www.eset.com)
If you're looking for free, use AVG. http://free.avg.com/
Just my humble opinion :D

Norton works really well, but the last time I used it, it was a resource hog, and really tough to uninstall.... Granted, my last run of it is probably a year old now.

Thanks guys!
AVG is looking good so far, and the newer interface looks good...last time I tried it was years ago...
Bobby, that was my experience with the Norton as well.....I didn't really like it after the install and then went to remove it and it had written itself all over the place and was a bear to get rid of......I think I finally re-formated and did a clean windows install just to get rid of it.....but that to was a long time ago.....Still, I don't think I'll go back to Norton :(

Thanks Chris,
I haven't heard of Trend Micro or CA, I will have to look around a bit. Seems there is more out there than I thought...:o

Norton is horrible now. It spams you more than a virus would about buying every single symantec product ever made and constantly red flags everything if you dont have other pieces of their software installed to double check. It came free with my mothers computer and I recieve a call once a week from her with problems and questions. AVGs a nice touch. I get free Mcafee with my comcast cable.

Comodo Antivirus, firewall, memory firewall, and antimalware...all free!

Anti-virus software? What's that? :happy097
I used to use Kaspersky, but let it get out of date. Some of you (Jason, Bobby....) may remember the result. :o Now that the PC's been restored to it's former glory, I use AVG Free and SpyBot.
And then there's the Mac. :D

Another plug for Free AVG. We've been using it for quite a while now, and it seems to work great.

I'm not getting any of that with the corporate edition. Unfortunately, if I want to use my RAS token, my computer has to be set up to their security specs, which means use the Norton. This edition doesn't seem too bad though.

I'm sure the corporate edition is much more user friendly than the free trial version given away with new HPs. My father used to work for symantec so I used to use them. I just use what ever is free. Spybot + Mcafee.

Back in the time when I used Windows I used Kaspersky. Updates every 3 hours at least, which is essential as viruses spread within hours. I can only laugh about Norton. The last time I used their bloatware the thing would only update every wednesday or so :rofl That's like defending a country with wooden sticks when the tanks roll in :D

Since I have a Mac, I honestly don't know what you all are talking about :D
...but... on my work PC I use Avast and that is available in a free "home edition" too; http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html
