You guys probably know about this already, but being over here in the Antipodes we lag behind somewhat.
Anyone using Blackle? I don't know about the energy saving, but I like the aesthetics a lot better than google - might just make it my home page.

I read that with modern monitors it doesn't save any energy, but if you like the black background it's pretty cool. :cool:

Yeah, most flatscreens have backlighting that doesn't change in intensity with the colours displayed. I just checked this with a wattmeter and a OpenOffice-Presentation with a) black screen and b) white screen. No difference.

I agree. Reading their about page hurt by the end.
