I realized this morning that women who are using a brush have a distinct advantage over men when it comes to getting new brushes...
They don't have to put stinky wet badger on their face :p
ugh I can still smell it... the TOP brush is stinky

Have you seen anyone over at TOP say anything about the stink?
I've been looking at the thread(s) occasionally, and haven't noticed any mention of the smell.

No I haven't seen it mentioned actually... it's pretty strong though... I didn't even see it mentioned in the review

Anyone else here get their brush yet? Wonder if they ALL smell bad? Joanna, have you gotten rid of the smell yet? Mine still hasn't arrived and my other EJ brush was fine, so I'm hopeful.

Every (3) brush I have ever owned STANK at first.
C&E, Omega and TOP .
I find it as enjoyable as the "New Car" smell.
Makes me feel happy.
......usually gone after 3 shaves or so.

No my brush still stinks.
I have 3 other brushes and none of them smelled. A SR, A EJ, and the C&E BBB.

I got a Vulfix 2234 brush for Christmas, and if it smelled at all, it was VERY faint. I never had to soak it in borax or anything, just started using it.
My sister brought back a Taylor's brush from England on her last trip, also a Christmas present. It smelled just a little. Again, I just hit it with whatever soap I was gonna shave with (I think it was Tuscan Memories) and no more smell.
My TOP brush will be a horn handled one in finest. Hmmmm....I guess we'll see how long it takes to lose the wet, dead badger smell.

Of the four that I have, the Omega Proraso Boar Brush smelled HORRIBLE!
I don't have my B&B brushes yet so I can't comment on a comparison.
