Another excellent shave, helped along with the new shaving cream that I'm really enjoying. I'd ordered an unscented tub, and Jean provided me with some vials of varied EO's to add. Today was a very nice bay rum batch.........yesterday's shave was a wonderful lemon scented one. This stuff does a great job for me.

Hey, ya know, it's a wonderful lotion with herbs and other stuff and is certainly better than many aftershaves with just alcohol and perfume that I've tried. In fact it's great - give it a try :D
manufactum really is expensive, though. I picked it up for 4,50 yesterday.... ;)

*Cerrus is made in France, but appears to be unknown over there. It's a very well-known cream in Germany, and it costs very little, and it works great. Lots of rich, creamy MENTHOLATED lather, and smells nice, with very soothing skincare. ;) :D

I'm getting re-started with some of my older creams and soaps lately. This Gillette Sensitive cream has a very good lather, and skincare. The RSC balm has a so-so scent, but it leaves my skin very soothed and well-defended against irritation and dryness, and the scent does not interfere with my edt or cologne. All in all, a real nice shave. ;) :D

20 passes on the linen, 20 passes on the leather for the Clauss.
Started using the Clauss, but it is going to have to go for a touch up, not sharp enough for me.

So in mid shave I switched to the Expert Barber 400, knowing it was sharp. I gave the Expert Barber 20 passes on the Black Bear leather side.



I'm becoming addicted to Ogallala Bay Rum. It is hard to choose between Cavendish Black and the OBR.

2 passes, the first with the Clauss, the second with the Expert Barber. Hot water rinse, alum, cold water rinse then applied OBR a/s balm. BBS.

Another winner!!! :) Third day in a row with a similar ingredients list. The scent of TSD Lilac and Trumper Violet (the past two days) is, to me anyway, nicer, but this is another great combo.

I'm becoming quite a fan of the alum block - leaves a nice tight feel to my skin. It's also a good gauge of the quality of the shave. If you have gone at it a bit too aggressively, the alum will let you know right away! :eek: These past three days, I've barely felt the sting! I'm having a good week!

Oh and the Chubby is a MONSTER of a brush!! :D

Nope, haven't tried the Bay Rum and Orange or the Lime....yet. I do have a sample puck of Colleens Bay Rum and Orange that Hoglahoo over on SRP handed me at the North East Oklahoma SRP get-together.(3 of us + Hoglahoos wife , son and baby, and Str8razor's son). We went to the Dutch Pantry in Chouteau, had a good meal and talked straights.

Back on topic lol, I plan on trying the Bay Rum and Orange as soon as the sample of Ogallala Bay Rum runs out.I'm curious about what all will be n the revolving grab bag when it makes it to my doorstep. Maybe some Lime? hmmmmm

On a roll here!!! Day 4 with similar stuff. The scent of TSD Lilac and Trumper Violet from days 1 and 2 is still winning (no contest, actually), but this is another good superlather combo.

No sting at all from the alum block today, though the Bay Rum gave a bit of a :eek:! Still, an excellent shave, BBS (again), zero redness...and no M3 required!

Perhaps I'm finally getting the hang of this DE thing. :o Wonder how many days I can get out of the Feather?
