I am about to offer my Dorko straight razor on eBay. I've had it since about 1980. It has never been used. The coffin (i think that's wat it's called) is not for a Dorko. The dumb sales guy must have pulled the wrong one. Item was a gift to me by my very young son at the time.
I think I know what item is worth.

Unfortunately there is no bidding allowed on the site, you have to set a price if you are going to sell it. Also, you have to have more posts I believe to sell something.
Please refer to the market place guidelines: http://www.theshaveden.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1064
Also, please edit your post.
Thanks,
Jay

You guys crack me up! :D
Now, onto serious matters. Unfortunately, because that Dorko is so old, it's practically worthless. Fortunately, I offer a razor disposal service for just such circumstances. Because you are new, I'll dispose of it for you for only a minimal charge. :D
Seriously, what is it you would like to know Ken? Ballpark price guide?
James.

I received this razor around 1981-82. It came with the wrong box.
My question is should I display the box in jpegs on eBay if I choose to sell?
BTW: I enjoyed your reply posts. The cloud of sarcasm must have just flown over.
Thanks guys.

kentek,
If you are going the eBay avenue I would suggest listing the blade by itself and considering trying to sell the box separately. It is likely that someone has a razor that belongs to that box that would love to complete the set. It adds no value to the Dorko itself.

Oh, that cloud is permanently parked over this site :p

I agree! You won't add to the value of the Dorko by selling it in a Dovo box, if it has any impact on the price it would on the slight negative side...
And it IS a mighty nice razor! Let us know how you decide!

No way, Milady, nothing approaching a cloud. More like the brilliant rays of the sun breaking through the cumbersome and ungainly branches of the jungle known as The Den.

By the way, Milady puts out some great soaps and creams. I'll be needing a real order of that Bay Rum cream very soon. ;)

Seriously though, thank you. Can we keep the drug.....eerrr, I mean, product pushing to a minimum though? ;) (This being the second one I've read tonight and all. :)) I like to keep a low profile. Get it? Low profile? No?. Hummph....see here (http://www.theshaveden.com/forum/showpost.php?p=90639&postcount=89) then.
