The Gillette President is a beautiful razor. Well balanced; feels good in the hand. The only downside is that it's just a tad to aggressive. A light touch and the Derby blade help to tame that aggressiveness, so all is well.

the lather, scent, and skincare of this Godrej cream are magnificent. The Sputnik however, can be potentially dangerous--it's very similar to the Feather, at least to me. I was very lucky to get a good shave without any cuts. :scared001

Oh, I think I should hold off the 50 laps on the .5 micron strop for a while, this Wapi is SERIOUSLY sharp, it peels the skin off my face now! Just the plain strop...

Returned to Proraso after a time of Prep, and I must say I prefer Proraso as preshave! Great stuff! (That does not mean Prep is bad, it's VERY good, just not AS good as Proraso :p)

Perhaps I didn’t use quite enough, but the Trumper Limes cream produced a relatively thin, sparse lather today. I’ll have to do more “testing” to see if it’s the cream or operator error.

The new formulation Harris Milk is a bit odd to me….it goes on with a somewhat greasy feel like it’s going to linger in an oily mess, but it soaks in and/or evaporates into a decent balm. I have dryer skin and live in a very arid climate, so I generally need more than just the Pink.

It’s a beautiful day in Colorado – sunny and around 80F. I elected to not report to the office today…but just got roped into a conference call…oh well, maybe I can at least squeeze in a half day off!

I had to be careful with the new Crystal in the British HD, but the combination yielded an excellent shave. I generously loaded the Plisson with the CF Lavender and it produced a dense lather with great lubricity.

Gents,

I ordered some lime aftershave from Joanna and at the last minute, asked her to add some menthol to it. I figured with the summer coming it would be nice to give it a whirl. When i opened the bottle the first thing that hit me was fresh squeezed limes - not anything artificial or lime jello smelling. I poured some in my still wet hands and applied to my rinsed face. There was some minimal sting but I fully expected that with a citrus essential oil. For a moment I wondered, "Where's the menthol?" then the frost kicked in! The menthol coolness lasted from that second, as I cleaned up the sink, shook out my brush and got dressed for work. While I didn't keep track of the actual time, it lasted for quite a while. As with the other aftershaves I have from Joanna, the soothing properties are excellent, moisturizes good for me and doesn't linger as to interfere with any EDT or cause me any migraines.

A huge thank you to Joanna for whipping this bottle up for me - I will most certainly purchase more in the future. Any other Gent who may be a fan of Limes and menthol, this is without a doubt for you as well.

Excellent shave! I thought the Trumper's Coconut was drying my face out, but when I tried adding more water it fixed it right up. It seems like its ready to go without adding any extra water at all, but really shines with a couple of teaspoons added.

I finally gave in and tried Van Der Hagen Deluxe shave soap. I have to wonder why I waited so long; I found it to be pleasantly surprising. Nice scent, good lather, great moisturizing properties, and the shave I got wasn’t bad either. A keeper, for sure!
