Problem with auto resizing? This is the same file, one copy attached and the other linked as an image??? The attachment is the correct orientation.

it's the same picture file... attached and image... one is displayed vertical, the other horizontal. Vertical is correct.

Look the same to me too, only difference is the attachment box around the 2nd image....???
Joe, what browser are you using? I think most folks here, myself included are using Firefox's latest and greatest :D
Good to see you here BTW :cool:

Hmmm... interesting.
I'm on winXP using the latest FF browser with monitor at 1024x768. Renders the same using either style. Here's a screen shot showing what I see....
{edit - After I posted this I thought just in case it was an add-on interaction, I disabled all the add-ons in FF -- still shows the inserted image horizontal, so that absolves the add-ons and the mystery remains unsolved.}

Well, now I'm totally mystified. I usually run my browser slightly less than full-screen, so on a lark I went to full screen... voila the inserted image reloaded correctly (vertical)... and then, even more mystifying, it stayed vertical when I returned to my normal sized browser window (which has about 1/2 inch of the desktop showing on all 4 sides). There is no logical reason why that should have "fixed" the problem since the problem has persisted for two days and several re-boots. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a250/azjoe/dunno.gif
Thanks to everyone who replied, and thanks for the welcome Neale... you'll see me around here a lot now that I no longer hang out at the other place.;)

Hmm,
Yea, I was not sure what was happening either.....It did come to mind that our resolutions could be different....
I keep my laptop at 1920 x 1200 which make for more desktop space....I use the same resolution on my 24" monitor too so I am pretty used to it....although it does make most images display smaller.
Glad to have you here with us Joe, you'll find it's a great group of folks over here :D
Best,
Neale

Keep me posted if you have any troubles. We recently went through a big software upgrade, and I still am finding little bugs here and there.
I'll get em squashed though.
