Hi All, Update: Soap is SOLD..............thank you Shave Den
I'm offering up an almost full 5 1/3 ounce tub of the Cella soft shaving soap. I scooped out less than an ounce so I could mold it into a glass bowl, so there's plenty left in the tub. I lathered it up (for science) and realized the scent of marzipan just wasn't for me. It's also a similar fragrance to the almond filling that's often put in those bear claw pastries. It actually seems to even have a bit of sweetness to it. I would call it medium strength, so if you like that smell.....you will love this soap. This is what I think of when I visualize 'almond'. Let me mention that I didn't shave with it, having already shaving earlier in the day. I did spread the lather on my face and it was ALMONDY!
Hehe, my curiosity seems to have gotten the better of me once again, and I find this isn't for me. Nice looking lather though, and the soap itself is just a little thicker consistency than CF products. I thought it was gonna be a 'putty like' kinda thing, but this is different. I was also somehow thinking this would be a different almond scent, but the soap scent is pretty much right on the money. Sigh.......what the heck was I thinking. Oh yeah, I remember.....hehe.
This ran me $12 plus shipping, and I'd like $10, CONUS shipping included. Now I KNOW there's members who like this scent, and the Cella gets nice reviews on it's performance. Hah, it's gotta be worth $10 just to satisfy someone elses 'healthy curiosity' about what this soap is like. Paypal works best for me.
