If you use any Kiehls shave or skin care products- read the label.
The company is adding all sorts of crap / inferior ingredients that will make me change my shaving routine after 20 years.
This personal care company started in NYC and was recently bought out by L'Oreal. For the Europen Union needs/ requirements they are adding rotten stuff like Glycerin and taking out the more natural ingredients.
Go ahead and write or call them if you are concerned about the product reformulations.

Meanwhile- I now need a new UNSCENTED face or body lotion with premium ingredients. Shaving will never be the same for me.

Glycerin is a premium ingredient. Many highly touted shave soaps are glycerin based and do a wonderful job. I personally like Kiehls Facial Fuel.
If your so upset about it, you could always buy all natural Susies Shave Soap at http://www.susiesbubbles.net/ or order unscented shave cream from the TSD store.
Welcome to the shave den.
if you are looking for a nice unscented cream check out www.saintcharlesshave.com She sells bulk 1 lb tubs of unscented cream. I have not tried the unscented, but the scented creams are dreamy.

I can't decide if this is a legitimate thread or not. He's sure coming on strong for his first posting...

Glycerin is rotten stuff?
Well, anyway......
Welcome to The Shave Den, PowerGuy!
I'd direct you to the Newbies Give-Away (http://www.theshaveden.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5527), but the products contain Glycerin.

Hey JoAnna, you cant go running around nocking nitroglycerin. That is some rather fun stuff! I dont know how you can combine it with shaving, but if theres a will theres I way. I bet that stuff would strip a razor down to copper and make it shinier than a brand new penny....is just make it disintigrate.

There are quite a lot of stuff that is less "natural" than Glycerin! Infact, Glycerin is "natural" in a 100% Olive oil soap, as a product of the saponification, so you can do MUCH worse than having Glycerin in a soap or cream!
Please read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glycerin
"Since glycerol forms the backbone of triglycerides, it is produced on saponification or transesterification. Soap-making and biodiesel production are respective examples."

My soap is Avocado/cucumber Glycerin based. So if you don't like glycerin, you probably won't want to buy from me.
Thanks for the plug anyways JayKay! I appreciate it and I'm glad you enjoy my soaps.:o
Welcome anyways, I hope you find what you are looking for.
All the best!

I think this man needs to reply and follow up on his post or we have to consider this some sort of anti-kiehls spam.

I guess if this is just some shave related terrorist act aimed at Kiehls we could always tar and feather him.

I like Kiehls products - not as much as others but I they have a place. I am surprised that no one has come to his defense. Maybe tomorrow ?:happy102

I saw somebody recently bash Kiehls on B&B I believe. It was just saying that the produts are over priced and dont perform well. I have to give Kiehls credit. They make a TONNNNN of stuff and give out a million samples. Not everything will work for everybody and I have not tried too many of their products. I have a friend who swares by just about every thing they make from facial washes and toners to shampoos and conditioners. The only product I can say I'm in love with is their Facial Fuel Facial Moisturizer. The stuff is great with a has a nice menthol kick (which I dont usually like). Its not cheap, but it performs. I used their detergent free face wash, and although it did perform well, it smelled and tasted like detergent. I'll pick up some other samples soon and give them a try.
