About two months ago I ran across a musical mug in an antique store. On the big (and bad) forum I asked (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showpost.php?p=417083&postcount=1)if anyone had ever heard of such a thing but got no response. Now I found one on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/BARBERSHOP-LARGE-MUSICAL-SHAVING-MUG-VINTAGE_W0QQitemZ360020919587)for much more money.

Still an interesting curiosity.

Well Richard, I've never seen one. That sure is an interesting find though. You just never know what will turn up out there. What a hoot! Thanks for sharing!

Anytime you see an "occupational" shaving mug, it's likely to be worth a good chunk of change (musical or not). Back in the day, the popular thing was to have a shaving mug that depicted your job. They were quite popular as gifts too. This one is possibly for a barber himself, but i'm not positive. The "music" is a very cool addition.

The link posted earlier to the shaving collectibles convention had a similar looking blade bank. I got a chuckle out of it...
