For those of you who haven't tried Nivea Skin Care Products For Men I thought I would mention that I think their products are excellent and can fit anyone's budget.

Their moisturizing shave gel is the best I've found that gives you a wet shave from beginning to end.

Then I follow it up with their after shave cooling balm which moisturizes and cools very well.

Also, their energizing hydro gel is great for cooling and moisturizing. It gives you more of an icy blast than the after shave cooling balm.

After trying most of the products on this forum I highly recommend Nivea. I just wish it had a little more of a scent to it. Enjoy!

Wow! You've tried most of the products??? That's a lot of stuff.

Here's some nice Nivea (http://theshaveden.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=60).

Glad you found what works for you.

Queen of Blades, Thanks for the link...and to clarify what I said about trying most of the products...I have...mostly the ones that have menthol qualities and have at least some moisturizing affect like Tryphon Mentolo, Osage Rub, and others to numerous to mention here!

In other words I have spent a lot of money to find the right product for me...partially because some products don't do what they claim to do or what others claim they will do so you have to buy the products yourself and try each one because of course ymmv.

Nivea for Men Sensitive After Shave Extra Soothing Balm

Highly recommended as an economical balm. Also good as a base for making your own custom A/S Balm.

I also like this balm, usually for when I shave at night and don't really need to smell great for bed.

Never thought of mixing it, but I've done that with several of my splashes. Care to share some recipe's?

lucky,
I never realized when I started this thread that there were so many Nivea products out there. I'm slowly going to go broke if I buy them all. Ha! I recently bought their Extreme Comfort Post Shave Balm and it is great...light and moisturizing...absorbs well. I was never into mixing like others on the forum...good luck!

Go fondle your shaving brushes for a few minutes, you'll feel better.

2 parts Nivea, 1 part Thayer's Witch hazel, a dab of aloe vera gel. For some extra kick, I'll add a drop or two of Olbas oil.

Throw in some Corn Huskers Lotion and youve got a winner !!
and of course, I prefer Melaleuca Oil to Olbas.
But thats just me.

Cut back on the Nivea and up the AV gel a bit for a lighter blend
