Before everyone jumps on me for this let me tell you the details. :ashamed001

Yes, this is the razor Sparky5693 got as part of his TSD 1st Anniversary gift. Unfortunately, the razor irritated his carpal tunnel.

I didn't do as good picking out the gifts as I would have liked. :ashamed001

Anyway, TSD members donated for the purchase of this razor, and the other gifts, so Sparky felt this was the proper way to sell the razor.

More pictures to follow.

It really is a good razor. I felt akward selling it, since it was a gift, but decided putting the money into the forum was an honorable action, and was better than it collecting dust.

A superb and very considerate idea.

Of course, I had to talk him into it, too. ;)

Wow, guys! I certainly didn't expect it to jump so fast! :thanks

Good move JoAnna ...as the nudger behind this :)
As said doesn't make sense collecting dust.
And it was a fine gesture by all who contributed to the cause

I have to chime in here. I don't have the "ebony" handled model of the Chatsworth. I do however, have the gold "lined Chatsworth" model - same razor, different handle material. This is THE BEST RAZOR I own. Without question.

Of course, everyone is different, but I consistently get the best shaves with this one. FAR better than any of my SuperSpeeds, the Fat Boy, the Super Adjustable, the 1906 single ring or the Slant.

Simply an awesome razor...You should bid. :)

The listing mentions that it is a "light weight" but beautifully balanced.... How light? ( I realize there are but minutes to go... I was considering this one)

I'm not sure, and I'm not at home right now. So I can't weigh it. :ashamed001

No problem! :D

Ebony Chatsworth (at auction) = 60g = 2.1 oz (per TESC)
Merkur HD (for comparison = 78g or 2.75 oz (per Em's Place)
Progress = 3 oz = 85g (Em)
Futur = 4.2 oz = 119g (Em)
1949 SS = 2 oz = 56.7g (per me and my analog USPS scale)

That help? :)
