I was in a store the other day and noticed that Old Spice is now coming in a box package with the description "Classic". It does smell different from the "Original" I'm wearing currently. This is for the cologne, I haven't tried the AS.
the new Classic that I saw smelled just a shade less spicy than my current Original.
I'm wondering if P&G went back to the old Shulton formula.

Is this the new plastic bottle I keep hearing about that looks like the old glass one?
The largest difference I can tell between shulton and p&g, lies in a powdery note that is not present with the shulton. The spiciness is just a touch different, and the overall scent is stronger (in the shulton)

Yes, a smaller plastic bottle and, if I remember right, the ship logo is similar to the older ship that was originally used.

I have noticed that they have the "original" in a stick deo version, original in a basic stick, and another original that claims to have the same ingredients as the stick deo. The stick deo/ formula smells more like the older version of the scent, while the basic stick seems to represent the newer version. hope that didnt cause to much confusion!

No confusion at all. I survived the Old Coke/New Coke/Classic Coke debacle :happy102 Nothing else can get too confusing

I think they are using the "Original" brand basically to distinguish it from all of the other flavors they're marketing. The only change that I know of is the discontinuing of the glass bottle.

so neither "Original" nor "Classic" aftershaves are like the old Shulton formula?
