Isaac, I remember going to AOS once for a shave and a haircut. The haircut was fantastic, definitely one of the best I ever had, but the shave was lousy. The barber was heavy-handed, and in a hurry, and I experienced some razor burn and irritation, and on top of that, not even close. Definitely not worth the money I paid.

Those prices are very reasonable, IMO. :happy088

Hey Isaac, here's wishing you a great shave, and a prayer that they don't accidentally lop off an ear or a nose!;):D

Issac, I had a straight razor shave at Paul Mole about a year ago and was not pleased. I made an appointment and showed up on time, the shop itself is pretty nice and has an old world feel, but I felt the shave was somewhat rushed and was not very close at all, now of course I'm sure some of the barbers are better than others but I was not pleased at all. However the woman who does manicures is excellent and I can definately reccomend her for a manicure. As for a shave I think you could do better at a local neighborhood shop without the hype. unfortunately I Can't reccomend any off hand. hope this helps.. Steve

Issac there is a place on east 51 street called okeanos spa website okeanosspa.com they offer a straight razor shave 30 minutes 35 dollars and you can use the spa facilities for an additional hour. with the shave purchase I do not have any personal experience with them but they have gotten some positive press for their spa services and facilities.. AS of now, I'm scheduled in NYC for about 48 hours worth of layover (mid april), and I'm planning on giving Esquires a try. I'll let everyone know how it goes
