First time to use the D.R. Harris Lavender shaving cream. I’d say that it does lives up to the hype, but I’m not so sure that it lives up to the price tag that goes with it.

I stuck with my gold standard aftershave lotion, Aqua Velva Classic, because I was trying a new cream; I hate to try more than one new product on a shave – otherwise I’d have used Ogallala’s Bay Rum Lime & Peppercorn aftershave today.

First shave with the Travalong. Wow! Almost BBS, the only thing I can comment on is that the handle on the Travalong is aligned a bit wonky; 45-ish degrees relative to the head, not a big thing, just something to get used to. I can greatly recommend the Travalong razor!

Firstly, I’ve been screwing around with creams for the last few days, and it was so good to get back to using soap today. Soaps rule! Soaps rock! Long live soap! I am… a soap head! (and proud of it).

Secondly, Ogallala’s Bay Rum Lime & Peppercorn aftershave lotion is a dream come true. Move over Aqua Velva, there’s a new gun in town! Well, maybe not that drastic, but there will be days when my beloved Aqua Velva Classic remains in the shaving gear locker gathering dust.

Lastly, shaving in the morning while listening to Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass is getting my morning ritual to a whole new level. I think this is about as good as it gets!

It was a new plastic 3oz. flip-top dispenser, if I remember correctly. Just washed it when I got it home from the store before pouring in the Old Spice.

Jason, I never tried the Permafrost cream, only the soap, but I can tell you that whenever I use it, I get wattery eyes, and a couple of times, my teeth start to chatter! :D

Yep... same with me... and Jo's is the first cream that met and exceeded that sensory overload of Menthol goodness. You gotta try it. I plan on using the two soon to compare right against each other... or perhaps the penultimate Superlather: Tryphon Permafrost soap + TSD Peppermint/Menthol cream.

The 50mm version with that handle with his super secret special blend hair would be great, although the stock Silvertip hair is very nice too :D
