Cool old-style kit I scored on Ebay
Thought I would put this one up here as well.
Comes with a Tech razor, comb and manicure tools. Nice leather kit, all made in England. Now, I'm not part of the "pony set", but I did like the design. :D
Scored some BayRum AS from Sally's a cuppa days ago and
Some Aqua Velva MUSK today.
YAY !! :D

Try the musk by it self first.
After that try the AV classic and the AV musk. Then get ready to be blown away!

Goodness isn't that beautiful. I need to buy a brush someday.. probably the C&E that everyone talks about. I like the synthetic base.. The woods are so gorgeous, but I would be incredibly worried about them getting damaged.. I think the base of this is gorgeous and therefore offers the best of both worlds...
How does it lather?
It lathers ridiculously well. That beast is so thirsty that I have to revise my water ratio anew. And it is incredibly soft.

And it is incredibly soft.
Yet firm. I got mine a few days ago. Could barely lift it out of the sink....it holds sooooo much water!

I got this in the mail today.
It is a very nice book. Hard back, glossy pages. :)
I'll have to make sure I send the author a thank you email, with a review, too.

I was certainly surprised by the quality of the book.
I'll be sure ti post my attempt at a book review. It's been a few years since I had to do a book report. :D

That looks wonderful for traveling.. how is it?? Have you been able to take it for a morning drive yet?
Why do you call it the 'crap' DE?

That's usually people's first response when asked how the Feather DE performs :)
To each his own though... I haven't tried it so I can't say...
The Feather Portable DE (the metal one below) has a very good reputation. The Feather half-plastic DE (the one above), on the other hand, looks and feels cheap.

Joe, what's Ogalalla?
Jeff
Comes with a card that reads:
From 1870-1885 Ogallala was the destination of countless cowboys driving cattle north from Texas to the railhead. It's a sure bet that as the boys hit town one of their first stops was a barbershop for a bath, shave and a haircut. After being splashed (quite generously) with the barber's own special mix of Bay Rum, he was ready to hit the saloon and talk to the young ladies who were anxious to sell him drinks...we'll leave it at that.
The decades have taken their toll on dance hall girls and that great old fragrance - Bay Rum. While we can't do much about the dance hall girls...(nobody's wives will let them) we can bring back that great old fashioned fragrance - Bay Rum! Genuine Ogallala Bay Rum is simply the best you'll find!

I need to soak the brush to get the badger funk out. But I plan to debut everything on Saturday.
So it's a Panasonic DMC-FX9. Nice shots, dude.

Almost finished and really enjoying it...though I will read it again before I join the review. I have a nasty habit of scanning books first time over....and usually have to go back a second time.

I received a nice haul yesterday from OLIVIA: www.Olivia-seife.de
-100ml AS balm "Bay Rum"
-100ml shaving cream "Bay Rum"
And 7 bath soaps:
-Bay Rum
-Calendula
-Churchill
-King Kong
-Sandalwood
-Spicy Boy (with goat milk)
-Freshman (with goat milk)
As I opened the package it was a revelation for the nose, great scents...
I love the skin feeling after a shower with OLIVIA's soaps, the silky feeling..., absolutely great... and highly recommended.
Did you switch to straights?
I shave almost exclusively with my feather AC. I have a straight and I'm waiting for my latigo strop from Tony Miller to take the plunge.
