Yesterday's shave was "Sunday Bloody Sunday'. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but the right side of my chin was red, sore, and bloody after yesterday's shave. So today I had to use something that had very little chance of a nick.

Result: 2.8/5.0 Must of have been an omen for the Patriots losing yesterday. The Ninja Shave got me on the bottom of my right neck hollow with 2 weepers and a nick. I really need to stay away from that combination. I don't need to put a Feather into a Merkur Slant Bar. At least it healed up by game time. The TOBS Soap is very nice and the BK8 has enough backbone to handle the hard soap.

Result: 4.1/5.0 Much better today. I paired up the Feather with the Gillette TTO and the IP Blade with the 38C Merkur. I re-opened the nick from yesterday just a little. Not unexpected. The rest of the shave was just fine. First pass was with Gillette and the rest of the shave with the 38C. The Ogallala Bay Rum soap just keeps getting better. A little aging has made an already very good soap into an even better soap. Top it off with their great aftershave and I'm in Bay Rum heaven. The Tweezerman brush is the brush that could. Nice little travel brush and if you lose it, it's no big deal. I am really enjoying all my new hair tonics and shampoos from Pinaud Clubman and Lucky Tiger. Lucky Tiger is discontinuing a lot of products though and that is kind of sad. I called them and the demand is just not there. Latest victims are Lucky Tiger Special Formula Hair Tonic, SDR Shampoo, 3 Roses Hair Tonic and Sur Lay Hair Tonic. I was able to find some 3 Roses Hair Tonic and some SDR Shampoo but it will be a hunt for the others.

This is the first time for the Lider Shave Cream and it was a fine Lather, nice citrus smell...not too powerful, nice mositure and lube.
It's also my first time with the Trumper's Coral Skin Food. This feels mighty nice. Got this from the Trumpers sample bag.

And I wore my Uber..svelte Bill Ellis Tee shirt. A really finely made and attractive shirt. I'll have to get the other color...It's that nice

I found this in a drug store chain in Germany while visiting relatives. The cream had good reviews so I thought I'd give the soap a try. It's not very good. The lather doesn't build up well and it dries on your face in about a minute. I tried face lathering and bowl lathering, "dry" brush and wet. Not recommended.

Nice shave! First shave with my self honed P.W. Söderén Hollow Ground. Pretty good for a first attempt on honing (can certainly improve, didn't pass the HHT, but popped hair off my arm with ease). The "Zzzing" from the hollow ground is just addictive! :p The Williams Ice Blue.. picked that up today and it's cool.. very cool (and inexpensive). The scent is pretty neutral so I think this stays as an everyday-work-from-home AS ;) Admittedly, I like the feeling it gave more than the scent :rolleyes:

Klaus, this is funny, but Balea cream seems to be ok, but there's something about it that sort of turns me off a little. I'd rather have something like Speick cream, or Rilanja, or even Alando. I find Balea is kind of boring.

I particurlarly enjoy this vintage Ever-Ready Badger bristle Brush..number 1000.
If anyone has info on this brush I'd like to hear about it.

I keep the lather bowl in the hot water and it stays warm throughout my shave. I wouldn't be getting a scuttle cept I take the bowl out everytime I rinse my face..It works well but is a pain..somewhat :)
