the principal was derived from a leather strop for straight razors....I wonder if it works. I happened to be watching tv at 3am and this was a commercial that I saw:

They always advertise the good stuff @ 3am :p

I saw it first somewhere here on TSD a few weeks back and I have no doubt it would work. Having seen what stropping can do for a DE blade and a straight, I'm sure this does too.

watch the video that they have.....they show a real straight being stropped on the leather and then when the barber is shaving the victim he is using a replaceable blade straight razor. oh the trickery!!!

I saw that on tv. I think it would work. Depending on how well it's made...Seems reasonable

Nobody where and when?

Nobody that was involved in the making of the commercial was proficient in the sharpening of a str8. That's why they used a presharpened "shave ready" razor

running it up your hand after shaving would probably produce better results over that POS.

I dont think theres enough blade exposure on a multi blade cartridge razor to actually sharpen them. And the fact that a blade must be stropped on both sides. Either way, I saw it at walgreens in the "crap on sale that sucks" isle.
