Barney!

Oh! My! Gawd!

I knew it would happen, but I could still hope that it wouldn't.

She's so smart! Why? Why does she love Barney? Shouldn't she intuitively know better??

Why must I be subjected to the big purple dinosaur???

The songs, oh my gosh, the songs! They're stuck in my head! :shocked029

Help!

You know you are a parent when you can recite your children's books and TV shows from memory. You then go check the book and you find that you arerecalling them perfectly. My wife and I can do this with several of my son's books.

I don't mind Bob the Builder. Well, except for the whiny voices of the machines.

How can someone sound so whiny all the time??

And why do they want to teach my child to speak like that?

Are you gonna come take care of Jenna while she is screaming bloody murder cause Barney or Bob aren't on the tv??

She seems to like them as background noise. Usually she is on the floor reading books while her videos are playing.

I never thought of that...

My son is 16, so he's way past the age of Bob the Builder, but we have friends that are forced to have Bob the Builder running 24/7, so I get my share :p

From what I can tell Bob has undergone 3 versions.

The original characters voices weren't so bad.

The second version characters voices, some were ok, others were horrible.

The third version's voices are mostly extremely whiny.

oh man, I've been through all of those, including Pee Wee! I believe that Barney is the same episodes today, as when my 15 year old watched when he was 3.

One night, when you find yourself singing "Elmos World" at the dinner table, and can sound exactly like him, you will know that you have truly lost your marbles.

Good Luck!

Bollywood cinema is very exhilirating. All the films and shows I've seen show the actors as being very upbeat and enjoying themselves. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement.

How true. But there's also a lot of "smaller" and more sincere Bollywood movies - they cover about the same range of genre as Hollywood does.

AND - I could never ever imagine a film with the (emotional and social) power of "Rang de Basanti" emerging from a hollywood studio - never ever. That film will bring the darndest fella to tears - probably the best movie I saw last year.

Rang de Basanti is on my short list of films to watch.
