It tis Winter and the air is very dry. I'm would like to use something after my evening bath to help out with my morning shave. What would be good to use. I don't need to buy anything as my wife, The Avon Lady, has a "warehouse" of products.

Paul, I made an aftershave balm that works very well after the shave. I have also found it to make a dramatic difference on the next shave as the whiskers seem much easier to hydrate than usual (making it easier to mow 'em down). I'd imagine it would follow-up to your evening bath quite nicely ;)
Whipped up a batch of "Winter Aftershave Balm" last night. Used it this morning, and it looks VERY promising ;)
I have been through various gyrations of homemade aftershave balms over the past year, none have worked as well as this one. Think I hit the jackpot :D
1/3 cup Olive Oil
1/4 cup Raw, Un-refined Shea Butter (unscented)
1.5 Tbsp Raw, Un-refined Coconut Oil
.5 Tbsp Avocado Oil
.5 Tbsp Almond Oil
.5 Tbsp Jojoba Oil
No water, no preservatives.
I may add some EO's, but for now I'll keep it unscented and continue use ::

Joe, Would the ingredients be found in a store selling natural products or drug store?

I would say most of those ingredients you won't find in a drug store.
Natural food stores carry a lot more of these type of things, than a drug store or your average grocery store.
You can also find these ingredients online, usually cheaper even with shipping costs added.
Mountain Rose Herbs (http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/)- a bit pricier than I like.
Camden-Grey (http://www.bestdeal.org/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Store_Code=Essential&affil=camden) - my site of prefernce.
Brambleberry (http://www.brambleberry.com/) - I haven't ordered anything from them yet, but they are a reputable site.
And there are more sites for these things, too.

I know I am coming out of left field when I say this but I will say it anyhow, Landers. They are a dollar store brand and I have used their products for approximatly thirty years now and I swear by them. No they do not make anything for the shave and yes they can help with the dry winter air and what it does to your skin.

I think I pay a visit to The Grainery here in Chatham. They just may have everything. Also, when The Avon Lady is not home, I plan on raiding the warehouse.:D Maybe something there, maybe not.

One coat of Zirh Correct and one coat of Zirh protect. Keeps the face baby soft and the whiskers fly right off =-] Absolutely the BEST products I've ever used. And thats saying something as I moved out a couple years ago to go to college but while I was home I was my mothers designer test product test lab. From shampoos and moisturizers to soaps and whatnot. Zirh makes absolutely THE BEST moisturizer I've ever used.
