Now, I realize you folks in the Midwest and up North really don't give a crap...but we get it so rarely here in the Upcountry of South Carolina that I just had to post a picture! We have a little over an inch so far, and might get more.

Very Nice.....
Growing up in Texas we hardly ever saw snow or really cold weather. So I was expecting a true winter here in NY, which has been a disappointment so far.

The first snowfall of the year is beautiful, especially if it starts at night. Beyond that I could do without it.

Very nice Blair! I have not seen snow in over twenty years. I kinda miss it once in a while. :D

Unless I go to the Sierras, this is typically what I see. Usually nothing on the valley floor.

Well depending on where you are, these weather patterns are ANYTHING but normal. Also Global Warming, despite it's name, can cause other weather factors instead of just heat.. :p

You know, I can understand the bread run thing in NC/SC (well, mostly). I cannot understand it here in CT! You'd think that people who live in the frozen north would have figured it out by now...but you'd be wrong! Grocery stores, gas stations, tire dealers, Home Depot even!!! What, you didn't KNOW you needed food, gas and snow tires? Or that your snow shovel was broken?!
And as for driving in it, forget it! No one knows how to do that! The good news is that at least the snow plow guys do an excellent job on the roads (most of them anyway) and even with a foot of snow, I know I can get wherever I need to go, albeit, dodging the idiots who haven't a clue how to drive in it!
Ahh, that feels better! Thanks for letting me vent! :D

Yeah, my Pennsylvania in-laws must've brought it with 'em! :D
We'll see. It felt pretty warm out there tonight, so I don't rightly know what we'll get.
