If there was one thing you could say about wet shaving that you don't like what would it be? For me, it's a personal quirk of mine. I'm not a true perfectionist by any means but sometimes I regret the standards I try and hold myself to when it comes the the quality of my shave. I try too hard to get it right and therefore, I sometimes end up getting it wrong. That little extra stroke here or going after the little patch there. Bugs me. I want a BBS dammit. :D

I cant get BBS everytime.......my face will not allow it.
But thats half the fun, isnt it ?
The challenge of the whole mess......

For me.....

I cant shave every day. I get BBS on a 4 day growth..but tear up my face if i do an every day or every other day shave. Im destined to have to shave once every 3 days or so.

It is fun though :)

I like old style things. I enjoy the straight/mug/brush.

I have an old bakelight telephone that weights a good 300lbs :rofl that i would love to get working again....just to hear the old bell ringtone.

I'm with you qhsdoitall. Dam it I want BBS each and every morning. Each time I come out of th at shave den I want to truely be able to say that I have the best shave money can buy for the least amount of dollars. My super speeds are delivering that each and every time. But I really do not like the idea that I need to keep buying these blades each and every time. I like the idea of buying the blade once and never having to buy ever again. That's the straight, the price is holding me back, don't like the idea of spending $150 for something that I don't like and I do not know how to use at this point.

I hate not having enough room to proudly display all my brushes and colognes. The joys of sharing a bathroom with the wife :ashamed001

Wait...this is still The Shave Den, right? I saw this thread and figured a troll had snuck in on us when we weren't watching. And it's a MOD!

Just kidding, Rich. I do hate that I can't make myself get up early enough for a straight shave some mornings and settle for a DE shave. They're good, don't get me wrong. But I love my straight razors!

Well, I can get BBS shaves every shave and I can shave every day. Those are no longer issues, thank God. My two concerns are razor bumps and hyperpigmentation.

Razor Bumps: I don't get them that much anymore but it takes of a lot of work to avoid razor bumps. I can have a week of great, BBS shaves and one bad shave will cause a breakout. Very annoying.

Hyperpigmentation: Using harsh products for my adolescent acne left my skin inflamed and sensitive. As a black person, hyperpigmentation happens less quickly to me than on white skin but lasts longer. I'm very particular with what I use on my face because it can take years for your skin to recover! Shaving with a razor blade can inflame my skin more so I have to use a very gentle razor (Schick Krona, Merkur HD or Progress) and not do too many passes (3 max).

In all seriousness, I don't enjoy the bathroom-cleanup portion of the shave too much...

I agree. I make a mess... water on the floor, water / shave soap on the wall, the mirror.. everywhere. My wife hates it.

The right sink design can make a big difference. The one at work. Forget it. The one at home. Much better.

I too hate when I have a bad shave day, but fortunately in the year and a half I have been doing this I have had probably three bad shave days. I need to face it wt shaving works for me. :D

Shaving.

If I could grow a beard that does not make me look like a serial rapist I would never shave again.

For me, wet shaving is all about the most efficient, effective and comfortable way to scrape my face and so minimize the trauma I may cause small children and those with weak constitutions.

I kinda hate that I only need to shave once a day, maybe if the beard grew in a bit faster....I could get through some of the products in my bathroom

Well, what I hate about shaving is that I rarely take the time I really should to make it "perfect". Not BBS perfect, but a calm, relaxed experience to start or end the day.

For me it's not about BBS, for me it's about "me time".

Those cartridge and electric razors. They are theworst part of shaving.
