Sodium Laureth Sulfate

Why would I want some industrial floor-cleaner on my body? I threw everything out with Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate in it...

take a look: http://www.natural-health-information-centre.com/sodium-lauryl-sulfate.html

Sorry bro, this one was just a bit too "the sky is falling" for me to ignore.

See here:

To each his own, but SLS and SLES have been deemed irritants if left in contact for too long (and even then at extremely high concentrations) but the "dangers" have been mostly hyped up.

I don't know. I have been steering away, far far away, from the Sodium Laureth Sulfate. They really do a number on me. Allergic reaction, or whatever, I don't know, but I'm not touching the stuff.

Makes me break out in sores. And I don't leave anything on soap/wash wise for very long.

I'm also not a health-crazed, chemicals are bad type of person either.

That might be or not but I won't expose my skin to something that has been developed as an agressive garage-cleaner to get rid of the oil.
Also, if I use something with SLS/SLES in it, my skin gets really dry due to the extreme/excessive removal of body-fats on the skin.
But, as you said, each to his own.

Completely agreed to all. I'm not saying in any way that any of you are wrong to avoid those ingredients that you know treat you poorly. That's what this is all about after all.

I've never really paid much attention to SLS or SLES before getting into wetshaving, but I've found that (at least for me) they're not a source of irritation.

I'd never heard about SLS or SLES before getting into wetshaving. Had no idea what was causing the sores.

I'm so glad I decided to pay attention to you guys! ;)

OK.
So now I need to read ?
Labels and stuff like that ?
..........must have missed the memo

I'll agree we all have issues with different products / foods / what have you.....I'm glad yall are out there to filter this kind of stuff for me.
I've used the body wash a couple of times now and have found it to be very effective at both cleaning and moisturizing.
The smell and coolness at the end of the shower is the greatest and I've had no negative reaction to the product yet.
Of course......
I aint the most sensitive guy :D

Just a few days ago, I was going to post the question "is there an inexpensive menthol soap?" I found this thread and went to Walgreens yesterday. This is great stuff to get a blast of cool.
