Klaus have you ever tried the Swedish Gillettes? id advice those blades for you and not mess around with too many brands. only down side is I have never been able to find a bulk deal on those.

As a matter of fact I have tried the Swedish Gs. Decent blades, but I find I get equally great shaves out of blades that cost less than a quarter of what the Swedes go for...
Normally the Lords are good blades for me, but you've gotta have a rough day once in a while - keeps you appreciating those smooth shaves :p
Normally I also don't have any trouble with different blades, I have a different blade in every razor as I've got a good friend that constantly sends/gives me blades from all over the world to try :D

Merkur blades just don't work well for me. I don't get a good shave with them.
However, I was mildly surprised using the the OS Pure Sport AS. Nice scent.

Result: 4.1/5.0 One small weeper. The Wars is not as much a cushion as Rick's Scream was. I roughed up the left neck hollow just a tad. No biggie. It's a trouble area so technique is crucial and I might have been a little over confident since the previous two day's shave were so nice. I'd put the War's Cream about the same as Proraso and Arko Creams. Maybe a little above.

I've been trying out Rick's Screams for a few days. A+ so far.

I'm sporting a new temporary crown. Not 100% sure but it looks like I put small cracks in the tooth from grinding my teeth in my sleep. Not the first time I've down that. That's why I have gold crowns. Tougher. The crack(s) are in a place that really can't be seen and the dentist hopes they're not down to the root. I'm not out of the woods yet. Need to see if my 6 day headache subsides in a day or two and the sensitivity goes away. I may end up with a root canal yet.

Rick, I don't grind that often but when I do, it's hard. Normally, there wouldn't be a problem but I have a couple of molars that have 40 year old fillings in them that went out to the edges and so the tooth walls were not that strong to begin with. Even if the dentist has to replace a filling in one of these teeth it's a good chance it will have to be crowned.

The Blue Stars razor is very nice. It is a fairly mild razor, so next time I will try a Feather blade. The longer handle is nice, and the checkering pattern on the shaft makes it the most sure gripped Gillette I have used.

Result: 4.4/5.0 They were giving out free 3 blade cartridge razors in the gym so I put one to my face for 1/2 a pass and threw it away. What a waste and what a difference. I mean, even my Sensor razor does a lot better job then this thing did. So the rest of the shave I did with the Merkur Futur. Ah, much better. The Pinaud Bay Rum was a nice finish.

Very impressed by the Castle Forbes Lavender cream, although it works more like a Proraso "soap" than any cream I'm used to. VERY thick, but what a scent and performance! I think the Swedish Gillette blades are rising in my ranks... almost on par wtih Derby blades.

It is! And it has a special story too! Here, out at our country place, we have a "holy spring well". It was revealed in the early 19th century to a woman, that lived on this farm, in a vision. The well, supposedly, has healing properties and is mentioned in historical documents. Well, to make this story a bit shorter; I used the water from this spring well to make this beer and I hope some of it healing properties will help cure a hangover :p
