Does anyone know what Simpsons email address is. Is there a way to get ahold of the company rather than dealing with dealers?

I received the Simpson catalog in the mail today. I don't think Emily and Lee have anything to worry about. Simpson-direct prices on the order form were in GBP. I converted to USD as of today's (Bloomberg) exchange rate.

Still interested, Isaac?!

Interesting. I wrote on 1/8, got a reply the next day that said my catalog was in the mail. Received it today. What'd you SAY to them anyway?!! :D

It looks like the same catalog I received 3 years ago. Then again the brush selection has not changed.

Something's weird here. Lee quoted me a price of $186.50 for a T2 back in November, which steered me towards ordering a T3 from Em for around the same money. If he'd offered me this price, I'd have bought it.

When I was considering a T2, Bronco told me that Lee had gotten some in. I asked Lee for a price and I think he said $165, since I remember thinking he was just a bit cheaper than Emily. I could be mistaken, but I don't think so. That is the only price on the list that I did not take directly from the websites (or from Simpson's catalog). I looked them up tonight.

Jim, I still had the note (I really need to clean out my email!!)...from November 07.

I believe that the $186.50 is current for Lee. $180 + $6.50 shipping.

For a T2?! I just looked again and Emily is "only" $170 + shipping. And she's usually a bit higher than Lee.

I believe this was for the special order 3 banded that he obtained.

I still have my e-mails as well... Gmail, y'know - I tend to never throw anything away. Anyway, I can't make a cool attachment like you did, but here's the pertinent part - dated 11/21/07:

I have a T2 in Super-the last of 36-came in 10 days ago! I'm shocked it's not sold. I have more Tulips on order, but I have backorders for practically every style! $186.50-This crop was stellar!

So, I'm thinking his price went up because he only had one left, or maybe it was in anticipation of the Christmas shopping rush, or maybe because this crop was stellar. After all the stuff I'd seen on the various forums where people say if you let him know you're a member you'll get a better price, I thought that was strange. Anyway, no big deal, I got the brush I wanted for a good price and that's all that matters.

Michael

Now that is VERY interesting. I had asked him about the brushes listed in my earlier post (email above). He gave me that answer. I said thanks. End of transaction.

Later that same evening...out of the blue, note from him...so have you decided?

Umm, it was just a question, ya know? Do you have them? How much?

Ok, I only had one T2 left and it's gone now.

For $165. On 11/19.

Of course, yours (on 11/21 for $186.50) would have been stellar.

Games? Don't play games.

Well Michael, you're right. That is interesting... Maybe he made an honest mistake on the price he gave you and unfortunately chose a bad way to back out of it. As you can see, on this thread (http://www.shavemyface.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=252328&highlight=#252328) back in September he gave a price of $180. In November he quoted you $165, which doesn't seem to jibe with the the super Canadian T2's with the secret special something that was not put on at the factory and that nobody's supposed to talk about. Maybe that's why he couldn't let it go for $165?

Heres something funny. I have sent out two emails to simpson without a reply. When i emailed Trumpers 10 minutes ago about their sampler pack, it took about 4 minutes for them to respond.

In Sept. I e-mailed Simpson regarding specific brush sizes. I recieved no e-mail back but instead recieved their catalog in the mail rather quickly. Its the same catalog they have had for years. Also if you look at EM's website and search Simpson brushes its the same catalog on her webpage. They also sent me a price list but on the top of the order form its dated 2005. Although their response through regular mail was quick they still didnt answer the questions I had asked in my e-mail. So my eventual purchase was still hit or miss.
