It certainly adds a new twist to it, but it made it feel a bit darker than I liked.

I'll be honest, Mad World (the version in the video and the one you seem to hear most these days) just seems to really.. depress me and freak me out. It is just a little TOO haunting..

I'll be honest, I just watched it again because I felt like I missed something the first time I watched it.. I think I got caught up in the cuteness factor.

Now I have a completely different view of this vid.. but love it even more.

Yeah, that's why I didn't find it as good as I did the first time I saw it, I saw the "Mad World" edition first... It does emphasize the desperation, loevly... I definitely prefer the "Mad World" version!

Agree until you hear the "splat." Then, reality hits you up the side of the head. The Mad World version kind of hits you over the head with a sledgehammer right from the beginning instead.

Thats why I think the "Mad World" version is better. A little more poignant and beautiful, emphasizing the dead kiwi less and instead emphasizing that it was willing to die to fulfill its dreams.

at first when I watched the first one it made me happy for him until I realized he died, either way they are both sad.

I guess it depends on the person. It's sad that he was a bird, that wasn't able to fly. That's sad to me.

To die happy, fulfilling your deepest desire, isn't sad to me. I say, " Yeah little kiwi for being able to make your dream a reality".

I'm ok, it's just thinking of the full picture for Jenna, at this time in her life, always makes me sad. That's the cross I bear, as her mother. But I know she will overcome many obstacles as she gets older. It's just tough for me sometimes.
