Hi, all.
My name's not Alec (it's Brent), some folks may think the only smart thing about me is my mouth, and Hi!
I rediscovered DE shaving back in October 2007 but just discovered the Den. But I've done no lurking, just jumping in feet first.
Acquisition disorder (of many types: razor, soap, cream, blades) has already set in. But it's one great disorder to have.
Currently, my preferred razors are the Gillette Knack, the Lady's Gillette, and the Schick Krona. Prefer the longer handles, TTO, and the textured grips. There are a couple of SuperSpeeds and Merkurs in the rotation, just in case.
Blade-wise, Swedish Gillettes are my preferred. Derby (sometimes) is a second. Have some new Treet and Dorco blades to try out. Crystal blades are the edge of terror for me. A Feather blade will probably never touch my face.
Creams and soaps. Just no where to start. Trumper's Limes, C&E Sienna, and C&F Limes are great. Got a couple of others in there to keep it interesting.
Aftershaves (you thought I was done? :D ) - Lucky Tiger or Trumper's Limes.
With all of that, you'd think my life would be full, wouldn't you? Well, when I'm not actively avoiding the jugular with a sharpened bit of steel, I do enjoy roasting coffee at home, writing, reading, got a bit of the fountain pen thing going on, a little bit techie (mostly via some idiot savant gift), find humor important, and don't take myself too seriously.
Looking forward to seeing everyone out by the pool!
