Howdy all!
New member here, but I've been on the B&B for about a year (Thanks Rick!)
I cannot wait for January 9th. Not so I can vote (please shoot me if ever do), but so I can enjoy a TV/radio program for more than 30 seconds without being assaulted by one of the dozen or so soon to be Saviors of our Nation.
Welcome to the Den! I’m not in the USA so I don’t exactly know what is supposed to happen on January 9th (something to do with your caucuses?), but I thought the saviour of your nation was God. ;)

NH is the second state (Iowa is doing their thing today) to hold 'primary' elections to determine the presidential candidates from the two major parties.
I don't know if God likes the USA any more than Botswana, but I'm sure He's steering clear of the Granite State until at least the 10th.

Welcome! Pull up a chair and join the fun!
Voting is optional here too :p
I did not know NH was nicknamed “the Granite State”. I googled it and the first pic I got was this beauty:

I may like NH.

I miss living in NH :(
I grew up there... I'm not too far now (just south of Boston) but it's quite a difference in atmosphere (both people and weather).
Although today reminds me of a winter back in the mid 90's I think... the coldest one I remember, where the temp got down to -30 or so, with the windchill it was -40 or -50. (all in F, but that temp it's sort of irrelevant, since -40 is the same for both F and C)
Yeah... so this morning when it's 7 here (windchill -10) I'm thinking "eh... cold, but not THAT cold"

NH has arguably the least intrusive state government (Alaska and Nevada are contenders as well), but it still grows every year like all governments. It is a cool motto though - looks much better on a license plate than "you've got a friend".
There is no doubt I pay less tax here than I did in PA, NJ or Florida, but basic living costs are substantially higher so on net it costs me more than anywhere else I've lived (except the UK).

Joe, are you meant to get the weekend warm-up, this weekend? I'm only about 100 miles SSE of you and we're meant to see high 50° temps over the weekend.

How is the Old Man rock face doing. I heard it was in jeopardy of breaking off.

You need some sleep, I think Issac.
Baron said in his post that the face already broke off.
