I have some colognes I'd like to put in spray bottles. Which would be better; glass or plastic?

Personally I would say glass just because plastic is not as strong. Plus I like the weight of it. Though I don't think you can really go wrong with either. Except I would make sure to go with something that is not clear, to prevent light damage to the scent of your choice. Something opaque or frosted. This is just a personal preference of mine.

I'm gonna say glass. Dark glass.

Added to Favorites. Dark glass it will be. Thanks!

Absolutely. And the dark glass makes a huge difference.

Case in point: Vintage Aqua Velva (clear glass) vs. Vintage Old Spice (opaque)

The Velva doesn't last, the Spice does.

Go here (http://containerandpackaging.com/itemlist.asp?p=10&itemtype=Boston_Round_Glass), Paul.

Free container samples (limit 10, per request), just pay for shipping.

Nice :D

Very. ;)

There is nothing as frustrating as ordering 100 containers, to then find out they aren't quite what you were looking for.

I get all my samples at that site.

Where would you go to get the spray bottle?

If you're ordering from those websites linked above, they would most likely be found in your mailbox or at the front door ;)

I like the cobalt blue myself. But you can also check here. (http://www.cottonblossomcrafts.com/packaging_supplies.htm) They have some aluminum spray bottles (2 ounce and 4 ounce) and other packaging supplies.

I dunno.. something about the feel of glass beats metal for things like spray bottles. Never liked the aluminium feel.. but that is just personal. Light won't get through metal!

I checked it out. But I think I'll go with the cobalt blue. Thanks anyway!

That's cool. Like I said, I actually like the cobalt blue about the best of any. The Ogallala Bay Rum we have in the Shave Den store (and is also available from Ogallala) comes in those bottles. I just need to remember to get some spray caps for them. ;)
