Valobra Shave Stick

I should before it gets to wool fat prices.

I can vouch for the shave soap being nice, although i'm not sure if they're similar. Often it seems the sticks are the same product as the soap, just with more convenient packaging.

The soap is a really interesting product. It's soft... like a firm putty.

The shave stick and the soft soap are very different beasts, both however are excellent. My only complaint is that the stick doesn't come with a holder....but thats not a big deal

However, Rick.....the stick (and the soft soap for that matter) has a very mild/faint scent. Smells like....."soap", for lack of a better term. Thought you might like to know this as I believe you like heavily fragrance-d products ;) :rofl

I have come full circle on the MWF and as much as I now enjoy it and the Erasmic soap (also a "soapy' smell, to me) this Valobra has me attention.
How would you compare and contrast the Valobra vs. MWF and/or Erasmic ?

The Valobra Stick.....again, nothing like the soft soap [its not "soft", but milled like a hard soap].....would actually be somewhere in between MWF and Erasmic Stick in terms of the "thickness" of the lather. While the MWF is a thick lather (with its high lanolin content), and Erasmic is a single-milled tallow soap.......the Valobra has a middle-of-the-road amount of moisturizers and vitamin E. So you are afforded a close shave and it'll treat your skin nice; but won't provide the level of protection that a MWF will.

My .02 cents.....Institut Karite 25% Shea Butter soap, great stuff :D I've yet to try the Tabula Rasa though....

Yes, I know of a few :D

And Valobra soft soap......are both as thick, if not thick-ER than Mitchell's Woolfat. However, note that they are both laden with animal fat in the event you are sensitive to that. Also note that both are very similar, so I wouldn't try both at once.

I will also throw in a vote for Institute Karite shave soap.....

Last, this may be obvious, but I find soaps with clay to be rather protective, in a different way.
