TGQ........Only 4 days Left!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good Morning Gentlemen & Ladies,

This is what I posted on the other forums Friday evening, and tried too here but I seemed to have a problem accessing the site, so please forgive me...Better late than never aye!!

I am going to attach a photograph of the Orange Chocolatier Bath soap although wrapped as shown......is no longer available. There was a tiny amount of that beautiful paper ( and if anyone knows where I can some please let me know) We do still have the Orange Chocolatier available, but wrapped differently. I'll post some other photos later this afternoon.

Well, it’s hard to believe there are only 4 days left to order from TGQ to receive your package in time for Christmas !

Those of you who’ve ordered early…..your Christmas goodies are on their way.

For those of you who haven’t ordered yet, now’s the time to take advantage of the final days of our Christmas sale. 10% discount on all qualified items listed on the website www.thegentlemensquarter.com

Choose from our selection of exclusive scents that will leave you trying to decide which to use first for your shave of the day……our Bay Rum with the smoky, spice of the Islands or perhaps Highlander with the brisk, fresh scent of rosemary.......

Our handcrafted bath soaps are some of the finest available, made right here at “The Gentlemen’s Quarter”. Most are scented with “essential oils”, and while a little more costly we believe it’s worth the effort to use Top Shelf ingredients from the beginning of the process right down to our custom blends that are so favored for their Masculine aromas.

This evening I’d also like to introduce our very first item created for the Woman of your Heart….that is, if she likes chocolate and what woman doesn’t love chocolate!

This scrumptious bath soap smells of dark, bittersweet chocolate “Dee-vine” wrapped in the sparkling scent of a freshly peeled orange. ( OMG....you just have to smell it to believe it....lol ) Made with our best select vegetable oils, swirls of real bittersweet chocolate, and extra rich cocoa butter to soothe and soften dry winter skin. Smells good enough to eat, but don’t !! This is for the pleasure of a warm bath draped in sensuous chocolate Only-

Wrapped in orange and gold paisley foil, with a chocolate brown satin ribbon, available as a “Limited Edition” only. The perfect small luxury she'll get to enjoy everyday.

I only have a limited amount of the paper shown in the photograph and while I am searching like mad to find the maker, right now…..when its gone it’ll be gone. So if you’d like it wrapped as shown…..please order early.

Our entire bath soap collection is listed under a steady discount rate rather than having sales. The first two bars purchased are $7.95 each, but if you purchase a third bar…..the cost of all three drops to $6.95 each saving you a dollar for each bar ordered.

You are most welcome to mix and match to achieve your 3 bar discount.

All orders placed during our Christmas sale will receive a “private” coupon code for an additional 10% off to be used in the month of January.

Hi Isaac,
It's funny you mention the Cavendish, since I used it this morning. It's not a part of my normal TGQ rotation, mainly because that fragrance is just so unusual. I get it out about once every 4-5 weeks because nothing else will quite fill that particular niche.
Colleen was one of the first small vendors to offer one ounce size soap and cream samples, because until you smell em you just won't quite know what to expect. Some are unlike anything I could explain properly, plus (more importantly) it's only my opinion. Some of the 'custom' fragrances like 'leatherneck' and others will be hit or miss, so the small size is the way to go at first, IMO. Hehe, as a result,I have a couple of hers that I use quite often.
So heck Isaac, buy an ounce of the Cavendish, and try the 'leatherneck.........to save on shipping, of course.

I ordered a Cavendish, as a Pipe-smoker (but only for festive events) mixtures with Black Cavendish are my favourite ones! Looking forward to this immensly!

Hi there,
I think you'll get a kick out of this stuff. I don't know if that's your first purchase from her or not, but if it is then congratulations.....heh. If you already tried her things and know how well they work, you'll find this to be about the same. The scent though is just so odd, but in a good way for me. I enjoy the smell of certain pipe tobaccos, although actually smoking a pipe don't quite make it for me. This helps satisfy an infrequent craving just perfectly.
To me, it's one of her more strongly scented fragrances, and I like getting a whiff of that during all four of my passes. I'd be curious to hear what you think when it's received.
Martin

Oh.......one more thing: I hate doing this to you (actually I don't), but I wanted to mention another thing you might like to try. I'm talking about an EDT that smells somewhat similar to Colleen's CB. I might suggest you looking into Tom Ford 'Tobacco/Vanilla' fragrance. I just tried some a little while ago, and it's actually kinda close to the TGQ soap fragrance. It's a little softer because of the vanilla, and a little sweeter, but not overly so. IMO. Same kind of tobacco note though. It's also important to remember that its a unisex fragrance. Popular with men and women.
You might like to order a small sample from someplace for the heck of it. Oh, it's a bit pricey if you buy a bottle, but the sample sizes are (relatively)inexpensive, and what you'd want anyway.

Evenin Everybody!

Nope, still haven't taken that picture. But WoW! it sure is nice to see familiar faces and new ones too. I've mostly been trying to catch up on housework today, and I've just put two loaves of banana bread in oven so I have a moment to sit down.

I'm happy to hear that folks are enjoying my shaving soaps and some for their odd or shall we say "different" scents ;) I do like to blend my own mixtures and I'm hopeful that come spring I'll have some new ones to add to the pot.

I've been filling up the bird feeder in the last week or so in anticipation of the bad weather, and with the light snow we're getting its been a lot of fun to watch the birds and squirrels today. Today has just been a good day in general :: Musta had something to do with startin the day off with a little Bailey's :rofl

Sorry, I don't describe scents, I just smell 'em! All I know is, if you walk thru the West Virginia woods in the Spring, the scent is nicest when you pass near a redbud.
