I'm looking for ' The Best ' or ' Most Powerful ' menthol A/S Splashes and Balms out there that can be purchased in the U.S. at stores or on line.
It needs to be light...not something that forms a sticky residue on your face after you put it on...you should only need a small amount about the size of a dime if it is a Balm...but of course more if it is a Splash.
Also, I want some moisturizing effect versus a drying effect. The more cooling and lasting effect the better. The smell would be masculine along the lines of Musgo Real A/S Splash or Proraso A/S Splash.
I'm looking to add to my collection and I appreciate any and all your suggestions. I currently use the following:
Italian Floid
Musgo Real A/S Splash
Proraso Crema Liquida Dopobarba
Nivea Energy After Shave Cooling Balm
Agua Lavanda Puig
I have heard about Baxter's, Billy Jealousy and others but have never tried them.
I'm not so worried about the Splashes but the Balms I really want to be light and fast absorbing. So many Balms, as you all know are heavy and leave a sticky residue on your face and don't ever seem to absorb. Thanks!

Jason's WitchVera, Thayer's Super Medicated Witch Hazel, Lucky Tiger Vanishing or Disappearing Creams, Osage Rub, Stephan's Alpine Menthol, Lustray Menthol. I am curious about the Gabel's Sta Cool astringent/toner, has anybody tried that? Think Appleton Barber offers it? I also will mix products. Such as the gel(WitchVera) or Lucky Tiger Creams with the "splash" products. I sometimes enjoy the Lucky Tiger cream and Thayers "Super" mixed together into a more balm type of effect. Also have been playing with Dr. Tichenor's Peppermint mouthwash, witch hazel, and Lucky Tiger cream. Lots of cooling.

+1 on the Thayer's Super Medicated WH...good stuff. There's not much pure 'menthol' to it but will give a tingle & cooling sensation.

I just got some Sandahl's Lucky Tiger Skin Care After Shave Lotion today. You can check it out at the Lucky Tiger website. It is the first time I've gotten this and am very impressed. Has glycerine and menthol in it along with a list of the ingredients many other splashes have. It was pretty cooling, I felt the cooling to be equivalent to Booster Polar Ice. The interesting thing to me was the fragrance, to me it was very close to Booster's June Clover. If I had a blindfold on I would have said they were the same. I like June Clover fragrance and am glad this Sandahl/Lucky Tiger product has a similiar scent but with cooling menthol. Kind of a different kick from peppermint, eucalyptus, etc. Also, I got a 16 oz. bottle for less than $6. Anyway men of menthol might want to give it a try. This is NOT the Lucky Tiger aftershave product in Nordstrom's, health food stores, etc. but it is distributed/connected with the folks of At Last Naturals, Inc. who are the folks associated with the Lucky Tiger products in Nordstrom's, etc. This is the old school barbershop product line like Molle', 3 Roses Hair Tonic, Surlay, Diasppearing (aloe vera, menthol) after shave cream. Check it out
