Nice!!!!!!

Dear God. I remember playing with Mario Bros and Zelda not so long ago. I remember being blown away by Secret of Mana in what, 1993? I’ve just spent an hour with the PS3 hooked on my Dolby 5.1 and LCD monitor. And to think my mother had ration cards when she was young. We are just a bunch of spoiled children.

Heavens that's what the latest video game systems look like. I am from the generation that played with the antique below and hurt our wrists to no end. Called Atari Wrist in the day:

Haha....i grew up on that Atari. Man...i miss the simplicity of those games. Today's games are pretty complex and have endless area to explore making the games frustrating at times. I miss the NES where you had to move Mario to the right to go on :P

Sweet, Yukio! I'm not ready to get one of those yet. I hear the built in Blu Ray player rivals almost anything stand alone on the market.

It's tough to find the right balance in the new games. If you're not used to them, you get lost pretty quick. I've tried playing FIFA 08 Soccer on PS2. Talk about complicated.

One day they are going to release a game where it is your job to CREATE the game and then sell it for them. You win if they make money... :rofl

I heard that too but quite frankly I don’t really care. That’s only a play station to me. :D By the way I had it imported from Japan so I can’t play European blurays, though I’m sure some people will make a patch that will make it zone free.

That’s actually the best console today. Inexpensive and plenty of great games. I bought the PS3 now only because I was unsure whether Sony would stop producing the retro-compatible series. The first must-have games for the PS3 will be (for me) Metal Gear Solid 4, Resident Evil 5 and White Knight Chronicles. I still have PS2 games to do.

Nice razor and same here. I clean them up, try most of them out and then put them away for safe keeping. A few I use in the rotation though. I'm about to add a beat up Milord to the rotation. It's crap as a collectable but it will be fine for shaving.

I've got Resident Evil for PS2. I have to shut the door when I play around with that one. No way is daughter going to see that. I have a one or two more that I keep out of the share with daughter pile. Price of parenthood.

Pre-Shave oils or Shave oils are designed to help soften beard and add razor glide, some say you can use it without shave cream or soap (Pacific Shave Oil and Saint Charles Shave Oil advertise this) but I wouldn't do it.

Most are blends of Olive Oil, Caster Oil, Glycerin and other Essential Oil. Some Folks just mix this stuff up from what they have in the pantry.

Do they work, not for me but for some they may?

jbcohen
12-14-2007, 12:36 PM
Interesting have not heard much about them. I have heard others on this forum say that they do not like pre-shaves and that they do not help the shave much. Myself, I use water as my pre-shave. I am glad to add this to my general fund of knowledge about shaving and shaving gear. I really like coming here becuase I learn so much each and every time I come here.

This is a very YMMV topic. I've tried many pre-shave oils and custom mixtures and still have a number lying around to play with but, my personal experience has been that they do not improve my shave. Now, for many people it does. You have to try it yourself. Wetting my face with hot water and lathering and then rinsing the lather off and re-applying another lather to shave with has improved things quite a bit instead. I know, it seems like I'm wasting lather. Not really. If you use any form of pre shave product then using a little more lather is actually cost effective. I don't use up all my lather as it is so why not put it to good use.
