Our holiday theme has been unleashed today, hope you all like it. In the event you don't, remember that you can change it via the drop down menu at the very bottom left of every page. From that drop down box, you can go back to the original if you wish.

Does it automatically go to the Christmas for everyone....and they choose to go back to classic?
I think it should :P

For a second I thought I was having some sort of flashback...then I remembered that I have never dropped LSD!

In the user CP, there is an option to choose your style. By default, it's set to "Forum Default", which displays the current main forum design, which is set by me (currently holidays).
I really like it being set this way, as then I can be certain, everyone knows its here :D

"Happy Holidays"??? What happened to "Merry Christmas"? Nobody dares to mention this any longer? So called "Political Correctness" at all costs? To be honest, I'm a little disappointed!

My first draft of the header actually read merry christmas, but shortly after I felt guilty, as I know we have members, and even mods that celebrate differently.

I don't think "Happy Holidays" as politically correct, just all-inclusive. :)

Dear JoAnna, trying to be "all-inclusive" means trying to be "political correct", means trying not to tick anyone off, means "Mission Impossible". You can't. Therefore, the attempt looks/sounds simply ridiculous. Even the management of Wal-mart, who IMHO are not necessarily the smartest folks, figured out after a few years of trying, by avoiding the traditional "Merry Christmas" greeting they ticked off more people than ever before! Are we at TSD so far behind Wal-mart?
Yes, we have a choice. Each member can switch back to the non-Christmas, ahem sorry, non-Holiday theme, which I just did.
Let's go back to one of the last remaining traditions: wet shaving.
P.S. Please don't take it personally! I just had to let off steam. Some things just irritate me. Sorry!

I remember Christmas cards from pre- politically correct times that said Happy Holidays. So, to me Happy Holidays isn't a politically correct term.
Is Christmas more important than Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, or any other holiday I might be forgetting?
And it makes me sad that something so nice as wishing everyone happiness has become wrong. :(
I don't want this thread turning into some nasty debate. If you don't like the theme, or the greeting, just change your forum style, and please, leave it at that.
Happy Festivus!

"Happy Holidays", was not placed here in worries of offending someone. My goal is EXACTLY to become "all-inclusive", as I genuinely want all of you to enjoy this time of year. There are many races, religions, beliefs, and walks of life on this board, and they are all welcome here. I'll always do my best to make sure of it.
If you don't like the theme... change it.
Thread closed, as it's going down a path we don't need to go.
