Wow...weird...I had a pirate's shave even before reading this posting:
Em's facial soap, Bay Rum
SCS Bay Rum cream
Merkur Progress/Feather blade
I had a four day growth going so I was extra careful on prep: showered, payting particular attention to hydrating my beard, followed by a gentle face wash with Em's soap, then relathered the soap and put the SCS cream on top of it. Kept the Merkur verrrry mild for the first pass, knocking it up a half step for the rest of the shave. BBS baby!!

Result: Pirate Day v2. 4.7/5.0 Arrrrgh, ye hearties. It's Pirate's Day. Bay Rum for all! As you can see at least I have enough Bay Ray to last me for a while. Hate to run out of that. I might mutiny myself. Can I do that? I chose today's products for variety and personal favorites. The Shave Den Bay Rum Soap in honor of JoAnna, the Ogallala products for their outstanding scents, and the Saint Charles Shave Bay Rum with a Twist for it's striking subtleness. I know that sounds like a paradox but, it's one of those things where it has an outstanding scent but doesn't do it in a way that makes people say things like "you put too much cologne on." I one passed the Feather ACD-N with a little touchup since I wanted to extend the shave by using the Merkur 34G for the other passes. I had so much nice lather in the bowl that I wanted to use it up. Now, time to go pet my parrot and drink some rum. Yo Ho!

Wow! I had planned on TSD's BR soap this morning. Decided to try SUPERLATHER instead. JoAnna's Bay Rum Soap AND BR cream! Man oh man! GOBS of lather and a truly outstanding shave! After all the good things many of us have said about JoAnna's soaps, this trumps 'em all! And that was with a 5-day old Feather!
Buy more!! TSDSSAD is good! :D

Eyesights a little fuzzy today. Very disorientating feeling. :(
Not to mention I seem to have better vision in my right eye, than I did before yesterday. But my left eye is weaker, and my glasses seem half useless now. I need a monocle. Call me Mr. Peanut. :ashamed001

Seriously, JoAnna, did the doc give you any indication that this might happen? Hopefully it's temporary until the eye recovers from the trauma.

I figure some swelling still needs to go down. I certainly don't mind improved vision, but I already have glasses, and don't want to have to buy new ones, yet.

I haven't had eye surgery, but I am terribly near-sighted......and when I'm without glasses/contacts I know full-well what "fuzzy eyesight" means, and it sucks!
I hope it clears up quickly! I'll be praying for you tomorrow morning at Church :D

I recently had an exam and I'm waiting for my new glasses. I asked about contacts or surgery and found out that no matter what, glasses will always be part of the solution. Oh well, I've been wearing them for 45 years what's a few more. Now, I just need to know why I had trouble lining objects up. I usually ace that.

My eyes have gone to and from glasses a number of times throughout my life. However I am at LEAST relegated to expensive Sun glasses due to a couple of issues with my eyes which require special consideration. I wear normal glasses now as well but mostly for the side benefits they provide, not simply to see. My prescription is super weak.

No, not really.
I called the dr's office and asked if the improved vision was a normal side effect. The nurse said yes, it happens sometimes, and not to do anything until the dr releases me. It's 6 weeks til my follow up appointment. 6 weeks, atleast, with one eye needing glasses and one eye not???

Thinking about taking my right lense out of my glasses, but I'd have to go to a glasses store and have them do it. I don't have the proper tools, and I'd hate to screw up my frames.
