Changes to our forum

We'll be making some changes to our look tomorrow (nothing huge). Just wanted you all to know if you see some weirdness going on, not to be concerned.

Thanks for the heads up, are there any more " Themes " or color schemes in the works?

I like the Swirl theme, but others would be cool to mix it up a bit :D

I'd say so, but to be honest with you, I haven't gotten this one perfected yet. I've got one i've been playing with for the christmas season. That's likely to be the next available.

Had someone pm me and ask for a play by play on what we're doing. Just finished the first change, there's a space between each forum category now on the main forum page. Subtle change, but I liked it.

Forgot to mention, the changes look Great!! Any chance of expanding The Blade to show new post for each sub topic? Perhaps a new section for each topic like straights and DE's...that would make it easier to see new topics / posts in each area..

LOL, Home doesn't do anything...but the arrows take me right to the top....DUH :o:o:o I never tried them..... I hate scrolling on this thing too...

This is something I can do, I had always worried it might get "junked up" if you know what I mean. I've seen forums where the sig pics were ALWAYS bigger than the post. If I did it, i'd certainly put a size limit on what's allowed.

Course if you tell me it's something you want, let me know and we might rethink things (no promises)

Maybe it could be one of those bonus 'earned' things.. Mods obviously have earned it and some senior members can get them.. sort of like the custom titles.

Would keep the clutter down.

I for one, am fine with what we have now. Avatars are plenty. The more "stuff" we have, the more bandwidth we need! And as for the Mods...for what they put up with, they deserve a little something extra (you know, in addition to their 10year, $300M contracts)! ;)

I vote for having this choice. Dimension and/or file size limitation is a good idea, though. Looking at the SRP forum where it is allowed, most people there don't even take advantage of it. Shouldn't be a problem, but if it turns out to be, the admin can turn it off at any time. ;)

As far as the default style, that's where I do most of my testing. On the "default" style you're seeing lots of projects happening, and being tested out. Lots of the things I do there never make it to the main theme.

Don't know if you noticed but there's some shading now in the header and the category strips. That alone helped it to look less flat. Sometimes you just have to see things first hand to know what they are gonna look like.

I would like to say that I like all of the changes that you have been making around this forum especially the Christmas look. Did not get a chance to chime in on the thread that dealt directly with this issue but I like it all. I am not Christian, but I do like a Christmas theme.
