Bill's Custom Razor Drawing [Archive]

Ok...

Let's get this thing rolling. Anyone who wants a chance to win the custom razor I am making specifically for the Shave Den, start with these words... "I would like to enter this drawing..."

Discussion beyond pleasantries can be made here (http://www.theshaveden.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3254).

Here are the rules so far:

There must be at least 40 names on the list. If there aren't 40, I will sell it on eBay and direct some of the funds towards the Shave Den.
The drawing will be held online in the Chat room at a time to be named later. (Probably around Thanksgiving)
Entrants must be a Shave Den member with Mods/Admin being eligible, since I will be the one drawing the name from the hat.
Entrants must have contributed at least 10 posts to the Shave Den site between now and the day of the drawing, all of which must exceed 50 words. Quotations from other posts don't count.
The razor will remain mine. It will be provided, on loan, to the winner of the drawing for 99 years or until my wife cremates my sorry ass. That means the winner promises not to sell it to anyone else for any reason. Do not enter, please, if this is your intent. You would be disrespecting me, the Shave Den, and your mama if you did so. It may be returned to me if it turns out that straight razors aren't your thing. If you do sell it, I'll send my cousin Vinnie to come pay you a visit. I'll know where you live. :D
Your Shave Den ID is your ticket number. This random list generator (http://www.random.org/lists/)will be used to pick the winner.
Modifications from this day forward, to the rules, will be entered in blue ink so they catch your attention.

In all seriousness, I don't think these poles exist in France. I’ve never seen even one. The closest thing I found was at the salon of the last Master Barber in Paris (pic taken with my cell phone).

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be glad to sweeten the pot a little bit especially since Bill has made such a generous start here. (My thanks to everyone who has added to this as well).
I have an Heirloom Red Latigo/Horsehide Dual leather original here that I'll gladly add to the offer. This is a great strop offering two different textures of leather to cover any type of razor.

I might add that Padron had also very generously offered to buy a strop from me and donate it on my behalf if I was unable to contribute. (Thank you Neale for the nice offer). I'll try and post a photo of this addition a little later tonight.

I must admit, that my reasons for entering are two fold, the first like every one else,just for the shear pleasure of owning a work of art,after all thats what it is opportunities like this don`t come my way to often, and since I`m as lucky as a hat full , therefore I`m certain that it will fall into some other deserving set of hands.
The other reason is more clandestine ,so I can pass my eye over your excellent work and gain some pointers as to the processes of manufacture

Oops! :ashamed001 My abject apologies. I had just been drooling over some of Mr. Chandler's work and must have had it on the brain.... so to speak.... that is if I only had a brain (insert soft shoe here).....but that's another show.

I would like to exempt myself from the strop as I have just received 2 of Tony's extraordinary hand made hanging strops. These need to go to someone who has not had that pleasure yet.

The rules were clearly laid out, and Bill went out of his way on numerous days and numerous posts to warn everyone about the rules. Some people have even quoted Bill's rules in this thread. I think the vast majority of entries will qualify, but I can't say I'll feel too sorry for the few who end up not meeting the minimum requirements and end up not even getting their number into the randomizer.
