Rattray's Accountants in my no-name. I'm still waiting for my filter to baptise my vauen.

I'm not satisfied with the pic, but freezing the smoke was oh so boring that you still get to see it:

How do you pick up the smoke like that

You simply need a flash and a short exposure. Of course, a remote flash is better suited for that kind of tasks. Moons ago, I made a basic introduction to using a flash here (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=12757).

For that photo, the set-up was like this:

I’m self-taught. You can learn pretty much everything with the Internet. Now go practice! ;)

Solution B.

Take some smoke shots:

Rattray's Old Gowrie in my no-name.

How a forum can change your life. A friend and I started smoking pipe and only had access to a limited selection of tobaccos. I read Rick’s DDoD posts and realised Rattray’s was a recurring name. I illegally ordered some tobaccos and discovered a whole new world of tastes. I still can’t believe how Internet and these forums have changed my life.

My wife would have said not for the better when I first started this. Now, she at leasts supports me. Like yesterday, she used to think my cookware acquisitions were a little excessive. Of course, all my ADs are excessive. :D She wanted to cook up an extra large batch of gravy (read tomato sauce) and wanted to know if I had hid anything that might work. She knows me too well. Viola! Out comes my 12qt Calphalon Contemporary Stainless Steel Sauce Pan. It was right in plain site on the top shelf. Did I mention she can't see anything on the top shelf. ;) She goes "wow!, where did you get that?" I said 3 months of searching and waiting and bagging it at 75% off retail on eBay. Gee, my ADs aren't so bad after all. :rofl

Forget that! Everyone can come over to my place and I'll fire up the grill. You can have all the burgers, tri-tip, hot dogs, bratwurst, grilled chicken breast, BBQ ribs you want. Oh, one problem. It has to be July 4th when we have the street BBQ. :D
