What do you feel is the benefit to having menthol and/or alcohol in after shaves?

Menthol - for the cooling, pore tightenting (astringent)

Alcohol - same as above, plus antiseptic qualities

Plus, that Menthol kick is SWEEEEET. The more intense, the better. :drool

And the 1-2 combo of the alcohol burn (HOT HOT OUCH) followed immediately by the Menthol ice chill (ERRR... AHHHHHHHH!) is an incredible tactile sensation.
