What do you think of CVS's version of Aqua Velva in comparison to Combe's version?

Light scent
Very mild on face
NEEDS MORE MENTHOL!

Personally I would like to see what after shave is like without menthol, then I can better appreicate menthol. What would you recommend?

Yeah, the CVS version is more mild........and I believe it to have more glycerin than the authentic Aqua Velva.
Decent scent though

What is the benefit of the additional Glycerine? Every time I think of Glycerine I think of some sort of explosive. :rofl

I think "More glycerin " makes it more mild, and since the glycerin is an emollient, it could be slightly more moisturizing........but I haven't noticed much of a difference in that regard.

Not nearly as good as the real thing ;)
Not worth it... I'd buy the fake velva before I'd buy the fake old spice.

Going to make a run to the local CVS to pick up some of the fake Acqua Velva. I will start a bottle of the Afta tomorrow morning. Anyone had any experience with Afta? My impressions is that Colgate-Pomolive ment this one for electric shavers.

Did you get the fake-velva, and how do you like it?
Afta is definitely an after shave, but there is a an afta pre-electric lotion and a knock off sold at CVS that looks a lot like afta ;)

Aqua Velva: $4.59
CVS "kinda Velva": $2.51
The difference: $2.08
Why CVS feels the need to make cheap crap cheaper... priceless :rofl

Tried both the CVS Aqua Veleva and the Afta. Afta seems like its a gel rather than an after shave. I don't think that Colgate-Pomolive ment us men to spash Afta on out faces rather smooth it on like icing on cake. I like CVS Acqua Velva a bit better then the Afta, but I will take you opinion mandoval into consideration. I may try Pinaud next see what that is like. In the meantime I am going to keep rotating after shaves until I finish up both bottles.

I didn't find the Walgreen's version as favorable a clone as the CVS version. Scent just wasn't "there"/seem right.....and it was fleeting.
