Ahaa!!!! I knew you guys who flock here to see something else!!!!!!

It's my first Dbl Duck Goldedge. I received today and it is in very nice condition. I will get it ready for the morning shave and report back. I have to load some pics later...sorry.

Get your mind out of the gutter boys!!!!! it's just a straight razor.:chores026

Very nice indeed. It could get a little sharper so I'll work on that tonight. The shave was smooth and close. Is it better than anything else I have? Too early to tell. So far it runs neck to neck with some of my Shumate's and other German Solingen blades.

After one trial run there's no doubt they are excellent shavers. Last night this thing was butter knife dull. This morning a smooth BBS shave, I think I am getting better at honing.

I have 1 Goldedge and 2 Wonderedges and I think the Goldedge does a much better job. Both of these are very hard to hone, IMO. I think it has to do with the hardness of the steel and the hollowness (is that a word?) of the blade. Once you get a perfect edge, these are good shavers.

If I remember correctly, Lynn loves the Dubl Duck wonderedge.

Well, I went back and did some honing on the 8k and 12k and the edge took an even better and smooth edge and the shave was smoother than the first one, but I still want to try the green paste as the last step to really get it smooth.
