Help For A New Brush

Hi there to all of you from The Netherlands,

I'm new to the forum, but not new to wet shaving. I have almost everything except a good shaving brush. Now I'm in search of a good brush. My problem is that I have a very hard beard and a sensitive skin. I have a few brushes of Omega and two of them are badger, but because they are trimmed I feel the edges of hairs on my face, which is not a nice feeling and on the other side the hairs are a bit soft so the hairs are spreading when I apply a bit pressure. I was told that I have to look for untrimmed silvertip with bit stiff body. I have no brand in mind. Total brush lenght of max. 4.5 inch/11cm with a bristle length of max 2.2inch/5.5cm will be nice. Any suggestions?

I'm a fan of the Crabtree & Evelyn Best Badger Brush myself, but not sure if that meets your requirements.

I'll vote Shavemac Silvertip or Savile Row 3XXX series as well, great brushes with good backbone and soft tips. Nice luxurious brushes that work well with soaps and creams, but better with creams..;)

Definitely consider the SR 3xxxx series. Great quality/value ratio. I've got a 3118 and it's a wonderful daily treat for my face & whips up batter with the best of them.

Fact, my 3118 is so satisfying that it pre-Cured me of SBAD. I admit to getting an occasional flare-up of pure, raw lust for a Harvard 6. If only I could marry a nice, single Harvard 6 & bury my face in it's badgery embrace.

But, pending that Happy Event, the 3118 is a very satisfying tool. Great luxury for a small price (my fav kind of luxury) !!
