Mama Bear's Old Spice type soap is a wonderful treat--it smells EXACTLY like the Old Spice mug soap from the 70's and 80's.

I love Old Spice! It's a scent I grew up with. My Daddy used the shave soap and after shave

ah, Cyndi, it's too nice for words! I always enjoyed Old Spice, since I was a young kid. This Mama Bear Old Spice type soap has an even BETTER lather and performance than the original Old Spice soap back then.

Well then, I'll probably have to get some for Sue for my Daddy! For as long as I can remember, he has used a brush and double edge razor.

Have to add Eucalyptus to my list and there has been a lot of interest in Tea Tree Oil. I'm waiting to see how that pans out.

Her bay rum is awesome. It has a very faint buttery vanilla tone that makes it spectacular.

I agree, Thomas. I don't have as many as I would like to have! I do tend to stay with the essential oils rather than the fragrance ones, just because I like the natural scents.
You really can't go wrong with any of Sue's soaps!

OK, round two. I'll be looking to pick up a couple of items shortly so, this is what I'm looking at. As some of may already know, I have a number of soaps already.
Dragon Tears
Clear Skies
Hydrogen
Mysore & Sandalwood
Energy
Sandalwood & Vanilla
I'd like some opinions on the above please.
Doc's Northern Dragon. OK Doc, please give your unbiased opinion on your custom soap. You can PM if you want. I'm really curious to know how you made out on this.
Joe's Trade Wind. Same thing for you Joe! Please?
Also, while I'm at it. Anyone have experience with the shampoo, body creams and ASBs and colognes? I might as well try one or two. I'm not concerned with the scent. I'll pick something to match across the board to create a "theme." I just want to know how they worked out for you.
Thanks and Happy AD hunting!

Ok the Skinny on DND
Its the scents I like with some menthol :drool :drool :drool
Very Hard to match the scent to anything, very musky/spicy but earthy and sweet at the same time. The only thing I can say it that its great for me, If you are an Aqua Velva man then you will love this soap!

I guess I'm very basic with my MB soaps--I only have 4 of them, The Old Spice type, bay rum, lavender, and lime. I had the Dragon's Blood, and Hydrogen, both of which gave me bad irritations, and rashes, but these 4 are great for me.

Greetings all,
I recently migrated from SMF and have been reviewing your threads.
I have a number of Mama Bear's soaps
tub of Mama Bear's Rosemary/Mint shave soap.
tub of MB Bay Rum shave soap.
tub of MB Smokin shave soap.
tub of MB "Hydrogent" shave soap.
tub of MB "Docs northern dragon" shave soap.
In addition to the above, I also have:
travel tub of Nancy Boy replenishing shaving cream.
travel tub of Nancy Boy signature shaving cream.
tube of Musgo Real shaving cream.
tube of Trumpers Coconut oil shaving cream.
tube of Truefitt & Hill West Indian Limes shaving cream.
bottle of Taylor of Old Bond Street St. James after shave.
I like any shaving cream/soap that has that strong menthol icey cold feel like proraso does.

I have a tub of Docs Northern Dragon that i haven't used yet. I thought it would be more mentholy, and it's a bit too powdery for my liking. The Smokin is nice, but very subtle. I also have the Hydrogen that I haven't used, cuz I've been slowly weaning my way into the wetshaving stuff. Hydrogen is quite floral. The Rosemary/Mint is awesome, and it's the only one besides Proraso that I've used. It smells OUTSTANDING!!!!
I'd like to try the "clear skies". It sounds like it's the same scent as Nancy Boy's "signature" scent. Anyone try "clear skies", and if so, is it similar to Nancy Boys' signature scent?

You should definitely try the Rosewood EO soap, that's become one of the staples of my rotation of late (along with Yardley and Provence Sante.)

I took a look in my drawer and found the following products from MB:
Soaps;
Bay Rum
Tuscan Memories
Spicy Lime
Cool Citrus Basil
Basil Lime
Pure Lime Oil
(think I'm into citrus for the hot summer months....?)
AS:
Lime Summer Ice (really a nice addition to the morning regimen)
Not strictly from MB but I also recently rec'd. from her a couple of bars of Issys Bay Rum/Guiness soap. First use will be tomorrow morning in the shower and I cant wait.

I've got some MB Lime Oil that goes on thin and dries up instantly. From all the accolades about MB soaps, I'm hoping I just got a bad batch, however from this experience with the product I don't think I'll buy anything from MB again. I'd rather stick with consistently good products that I know are good.

Make sure to contact her and let her know of your problem. I remember she had a couple of bad batches and wanted people to contact her.

I have a tub of MB Gucci for Him and it is outstanding. I also had her brew up a Summer Aftershave milk with Gucci for Him fragrance added and it is one of my favorites. I have authentic Gucci Pour Men EDT and I like Mama Bears fragrance the best.
