Hey gang, I'm still a newbie, but I'm starting to accumulate some creams. How should one store cream? Should I store it in the fridgerizer? Just leave them in the bathroom, at room temperature? I can only shave once a day :( and don't want this stuff to go bad on me. Thanks in advance.

In your bathroom should be just fine.
Worst thing that could happen is they dry up a little and you may have to add some water to rehydrate.

Hi Rick, thanks for the reply. I was under the impression that they could actually go rancid. Now I guess I can buy some more LOL.

They'll be fine. Do as Rick says. Tubes and lined capped jars are going to keep the cream from drying out best but even if they do dry out a little. Rick is right, just add a little water to re-hydrate.

Many of the creams will have some kind of preservative, or are formulated in such a way that they can be used for a number of years without a preservative.

That being said, I would recommend storing them OUT of the bathroom, as the bathroom (generally more humid than other areas due to hot showers/bath/etc.) is a breeding ground for "stuff/(organisms/bacteria?)" to grow in products etc..

I don't keep ANY of my shave stuff in the bathroom, and this includes my brushes.

the SBAD hook is set

and Yeah, TJoe is correct.
I say "bathroom" and mine is a separate room with the turlet. A door separates it from the shower and bath so there is very little exposure to any humidity.
Plus I live in a desert.
If yours is an "all-in-one" space, try to find living accomodations for your shavery elsewhere.

I forgot about the moisture/bacteria thing. Humidity is almost non-existent around here. All my stuff is stored out of the bathroom. Work = gym locker, Home = armoire, closet and garage.
